Abstract
Polynucleotide and polypeptide sequences are described. The polypeptide sequences comprise one or more of: (a) a polypeptide having the deduced amino acid sequence translated from the polynucleotide sequence in SEQ ID NO: 1 and variants, fragments, homologues, analogues and derivatives thereof; (b) a polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 2 and variants, fragments, homologues, analogues and derivatives thereof; or (c) a polypeptide encoded by the cDNA of NCIMB 41066 and variants, fragments, homologues, analogues and derivatives thereof.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 12 . (Cancelled).
13 . A polypeptide comprising:
(a) an amino acid sequence encoded by a polynucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1; (b) the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2; (c) an amino acid sequence encoded by the cDNA contained in the clone deposited as National Collections of Industrial and Marine Bacteria Limited (NCIMB) 41066; or (d) an amino acid sequence encoded by a polynucleotide that has at least 95% identity to the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 and encodes a neuromedin U receptor that mediates, in HEK-293 cells transfected with and expressing said polynucleotide, a specific neuromedin U-induced increase in intracellular calcium following contact with neuromedin U.
14 . An antibody against the polypeptide of claim 13 .
15 . (Cancelled).
16 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising the antibody of claim 14 and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, diluents, adjuvants or excipients.
