Privacy Policy

The short version: you don’t need an account to search, we collect as little as we can, we don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t sell your data.

Browsing and searching

You can search PatentIndex and read every page without creating an account or giving us any personal information. The patents, inventors, and organizations shown on the site come from public patent records, not from you.

Analytics

We keep lightweight, privacy-friendly analytics so we can see what is useful and what is broken. This is cookieless — we do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not follow you around the web.

Where an IP address is involved, it is hashed rather than stored in raw form, so analytics records are not tied back to an identifiable person. We look at aggregate patterns — page views, popular searches, broad regions — not individual profiles.

Email you give us

If you volunteer an email address — for example, to join a waitlist or to sign in — we use it only to operate PatentIndex and to contact you about it. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with advertisers. You can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to hello@patentindex.ai.

Search queries

Searches may be logged in aggregate to improve results and rank what people look for — but they are not linked to your identity, and we do not build a personal search history tied to you.

Service providers

Like any website, PatentIndex relies on infrastructure providers (hosting, content delivery, email) that process data on our behalf so the site can run. They act on our instructions and only to deliver the service.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Questions about privacy can go to hello@patentindex.ai.
