Abstract
In the present invention, disclosed is a method for uplink multi-user transmission in a wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method for performing, by a station (STA), uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving, from an access point (AP), a trigger frame including information for UL MU transmission; and transmitting an UL MU PPDU on the basis of the information for UL MU transmission, wherein the trigger frame is a medium access control (MAC) frame, a MAC header of the trigger frame includes a type field and a subtype field, and the type of the trigger frame may be indicated by the type field and the subtype field.

receiving a Medium Access Control (MAC) frame from an access point (AP), the MAC frame comprising (i) a MAC header, (ii) a frame body, and (iii) a Frame Check Sequence (FCS), the MAC header including a field indicating for whether a frame type of the MAC frame is a trigger frame; and
performing the UL MU transmission by transmitting a Physical-layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) comprising a UL frame in response to the MAC frame to the AP, whenbased on the frame type of the MAC frame isbeing the trigger frame,
wherein the trigger frame includes (i) information for the UL MU transmission and (ii) trigger type information indicating for a trigger type of the trigger frame,
wherein the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame depends on the trigger type of the trigger frame,
wherein the trigger type information comprises information for whether the trigger type of the trigger frame includes is (i) a type for triggering transmission of UL MU data framesor, (ii) a type for triggering transmission of buffer status report frames, or (iii) a type for triggering transmission of Clear-To-Send (CTS) frames, and
wherein the UL frame is a UL MU data frame when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame includes being the type for triggering transmission of UL MU data frames.

The method of claim 1 , wherein, when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame is being the type for triggering transmission of the UL MU data frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame includes (i) an association identifier (AID) for each of STA performing the UL MU transmission, (ii) space resource indication related information for a UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID, and (iii) frequency resource indication related information for the UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID.

The method of claim 2 , wherein based on the trigger type of the trigger frame being the type for triggering transmission of the UL MU data frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame further includes (i) a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) level index of the UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID and (ii) a coding type of the UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID.

The method of claim 1 , wherein, when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame is being the type for triggering transmission of the buffer status report frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame includes an association identifier (AID) for each of STA performing the UL MU transmission, and
wherein the UL frame is a buffer status report frame, based on the trigger type of the trigger frame being the type for triggering transmission of the buffer status report frames.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein, when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame is being the type for triggering transmission of the UL MU data frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame further includes resource information of the UL MU data frames.
6. The method of claim 5 , wherein based on the trigger type of the trigger frame being the type for triggering transmission of the UL MU data frames, the UL MU data frame is transmitted through a resource which the STA arbitrarily selects based on the resource information.
7. The method of claim 5 , wherein based on the trigger type of the trigger frame being the type for triggering transmission of the UL MU data frames, the trigger frame further includes the (i) information indicating for whether the a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) level index and the a space time block coding (STBC) are applied to the UL MU frame, (ii) transmittable frequency resource indication related information of the UL MU frame, and the (iii) length information of the UL MU frame.
8. A method for supporting uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission by an access point (AP) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
transmitting a Medium Access Control (MAC) frame to a station (STA), the MAC frame comprising a MAC header, a frame body and a Frame Check Sequence (FCS), the MAC header including a field indicating for whether a frame type of the MAC frame is a trigger frame; and
receiving the UL MU transmission comprising a Physical-layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) which comprises a UL frame in response to the MAC frame to the AP, when based on the frame type of the MAC frame is being the trigger frame,
wherein the trigger frame includes (i) information for the UL MU transmission and (ii) trigger type information indicating for a trigger type of the trigger frame,
wherein the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame depends on the trigger type of the trigger frame,
wherein the trigger type information comprises information for whether the trigger type of the trigger frame includes is (i) a type for triggering transmission of UL MU data framesor, (ii) a type for triggering transmission of buffer status report frames, or (iii) a type for triggering transmission of Clear-To-Send (CTS) frames, and
wherein the UL frame is a UL MU data frame when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame includes being the type for triggering transmission of UL MU data frames.
9. A station (STA) device for performing configured to perform uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission in a wireless communication system, the station device comprising:
a radio frequency (RF) unit, including a transceiver, for transmitting and receiving a wireless signal; and
a processor,
wherein the processor is configured to:
receive a Medium Access Control (MAC) frame from an access point (AP), the MAC frame comprising a MAC header, a frame body and a Frame Check Sequence (FCS), the MAC header including a field indicating for whether a frame type of the MAC frame is a trigger frame; and
transmitperform the UL MU transmission by transmitting a Physical-layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) comprising a UL frame in response to the MAC frame to the AP, whenbased on the frame type of the MAC frame isbeing the trigger frame,
wherein the trigger frame includes (i) information for the UL MU transmission and (ii) trigger type information indicating for a trigger type of the trigger frame,
wherein the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame depends on the trigger type of the trigger frame,
wherein the trigger type information comprises information for whether the trigger type of the trigger frame includes is (i) a type for triggering transmission of UL MU data framesor, (ii) a type for triggering transmission of buffer status report frames, or (iii) a type for triggering transmission of Clear-To-Send (CTS) frames, and
wherein the UL frame is a UL MU data frame when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame includes being the type for triggering transmission of UL MU data frames.

The station device of claim 9 , wherein, when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame is being the type for triggering transmission of the UL MU data frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame includes (i) an association identifier (AID) for each of STA performing the UL MU transmission, (ii) space resource indication related information for a UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID, and (iii) frequency resource indication related information for the UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID.

The station device of claim 10 , wherein based on the trigger type of the trigger frame being the type for triggering transmission of the UL MU data frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame further includes (i) a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) level index of the UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID and (ii) a coding type of the UL MU frame of each STA identified by the AID.

The station device of claim 9 , wherein, when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame is being the type for triggering transmission of the buffer status report frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame includes an association identifier (AID) for each of STA performing the UL MU transmission.

The method of claim 8 , wherein, when based on the trigger type of the trigger frame is being the type for triggering transmission of the buffer status report frames, the information for the UL MU transmission in the trigger frame includes an association identifier (AID) for each of STA performing the UL MU transmission.
14. A method for performing uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) transmission by a station (STA) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving a Medium Access Control (MAC) frame from an access point (AP), the MAC frame comprising (i) a MAC header, (ii) a frame body, and (iii) a Frame Check Sequence (FCS), the MAC header including a frame control field, wherein the frame control field has a length of 2 octets and includes a 2-bit frame type field for whether a frame type of the MAC frame is a trigger frame; and performing the UL MU transmission by transmitting a Physical-layer Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) comprising a UL frame in response to the MAC frame to the AP, based on the frame type of the MAC frame being the trigger frame, wherein based on the frame type of the MAC frame being the trigger frame, the trigger frame further includes, in a field of the trigger frame other than the frame control field, trigger type information for a trigger type of the trigger frame, wherein the trigger type information comprises information for whether the trigger type of the trigger frame is (i) a type for triggering transmission of UL MU data frames, (ii) a type for triggering transmission of buffer status report frames, or (iii) a type for triggering transmission of Clear-To-Send (CTS) frames, and wherein the UL frame is a UL MU data frame based on the trigger type of the trigger frame being the type for triggering transmission of UL MU data frames.
15. The method of claim 14, wherein based on the trigger type information comprising information that the trigger type of the trigger frame is the type for triggering transmission of the buffer status report frames:
the trigger frame further includes information regarding an association identifier (AID) for each STA performing the UL MU transmission, and the transmitted UL frame is a buffer status report frame.
16. The method of claim 14, wherein based on the trigger type information comprising information that the trigger type of the trigger frame is the type for triggering transmission of the CTS frames:
