Abstract
MHC Class I-restricted peptides derived from the tumor associated antigen, survivin, which peptides are capable of binding to Class I HLA molecules at a high affinity, capable of eliciting INF-γ-producing cells in a PBL population of a cancer patient and capable of in situ detection of cytotoxic T cells in a tumor tissue, therapeutic and diagnostic composition comprising the peptide and uses thereof.

1. An immunogenic composition consisting of comprising the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 18, the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 14, and an adjuvant.
2. An immunogenic composition consisting of comprising the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 18 and the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 14, both coupled to an immunogenic carrier, and an adjuvant.
3. An immunogenic composition consisting of comprising the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 18, the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 14, an adjuvant, and at least one of a pharmaceutical carrier, diluent, preservative, buffer component, or a combination thereof.
4. The immunogenic composition of claim 1, further comprising the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5.
5. The immunogenic composition of claim 1, further comprising the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 36.
6. The immunogenic composition of claim 1, further comprising the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 58.

An immunogenic composition comprising the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 14, the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5, the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 18, the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 36, and the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 58.
8. The immunogenic composition of claim 7, comprising a plurality of peptides consisting essentially of:
the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 14; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 18; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 36; and the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 58.
9. The immunogenic composition of claim 1, wherein the immunogenic composition is capable of eliciting an immune response against a cancer wherein survivin is expressed.
10. The immunogenic composition of claim 9, wherein the cancer is a haematopoietic malignancy, melanoma, breast cancer, cervix cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, pancreas cancer, prostate cancer, or combination thereof.
11. The immunogenic composition of claim 10, wherein the haematopoietic malignancy includes chronic lymphatic leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, or a combination thereof.
12. The immunogenic composition of claim 1, wherein the immunogenic composition elicits the production of effector T-cells having a cytotoxic effect against cancer cells.
13. The immunogenic composition of claim 7, further comprising an adjuvant.
14. The immunogenic composition of claim 8, further comprising an adjuvant.
15. The immunogenic composition of claim 8, consisting essentially of:
the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 14; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 18; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 36; and the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 58.
16. The immunogenic composition of claim 8, consisting essentially of:
the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 14; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 18; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 36; the peptide of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 58; and
