Audio/video program-related hyperlink printer

Abstract

A system is, method and apparatus are disclosed deploying a timer and a generator for temporally defining printable output of hyperlinked content corresponding to program material for generating a hyperlink address string structured as a print method for hyperlinking to the hyperlinked content corresponding to program material wherein the hyperlinking prints only pre-defined printing printable output of the hyperlinked content to transform the print method from a receiver receiving the hyperlink address string to a printer printing printable output of the hyperlinked content according to a second attribute of the hyperlink address string wherein activation of the hyperlinking to the hyperlinked content activates the printing printable output of the hyperlinked content comprising a the generator for generating a the hyperlink address string associated with the program material including a first attribute indicating a the hyperlink address to the hyperlinked content and a the second attribute indicating one or more parameters defining the pre-defined printable output of the hyperlinked content, an encoder for encoding the hyperlink address string for transmission via a program signal transmitter, the program signal transmitter for transmitting the hyperlink address string, a program signal receiver for receiving the hyperlink address string, a data processor for processing the hyperlink address string for hyperlinking to the hyperlinked content printing only the pre-defined printable output of the hyperlinked content and a web browser for hyperlinking to the hyperlinked content printing only the pre-defined printable output of the hyperlinked content.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A computer-implemented system deploying timer means for temporally defining predetermined printable output of a resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to predetermined program material are arrayed having a processor for processing an hyperlink address string structured as a print method in conjunction with program signals representative of predetermined program material for hyperlinking to a said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to transform said print method from a receiver receiving said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to a printer printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed according to a second attribute of said hyperlink address string wherein said hyperlinking to said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed activates said printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed, said system comprising:
 meansa generator for generating said hyperlink address string including a first attribute indicating a predetermined hyperlink address comprising a resource identifier identifying said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed and asaid second attribute indicating one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed; 
 means for encodingan encoder operably coupled to said means for generatinggenerator for encoding said hyperlink address string for transmission in conjunction with said program signals representative of said predetermined program material via meansa transmitter for transmitting program- relatedprogram-related signals; 
 said means for transmitting program-related signals transmitter operably coupled to said means for encoding encoder for transmitting said hyperlink address string in conjunction with said program signals representative of said predetermined program material to means for receiving program-related signals said receiver; 
 said means for receiving program-related signals receiver for receiving said hyperlink address string in conjunction with said program signals representative of said predetermined program material; 
 said timer means operably coupled to said processor for determining predetermined one or a plurality of timing instructions for said hyperlinking to said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed timely printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed according to said one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed indicated in said second attribute; 
 means for processing via said processor operably coupled to said means for receiving program-related signals receiver for processing said hyperlink address string in conjunction with said program signals representative of said predetermined program material for said hyperlinking to said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed: A) processing said predetermined hyperlink address comprising a resource identifier identifying said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed indicated in said first attribute to hyperlink to said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed and B) processing said one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed indicated in said second attribute for said hyperlinking to said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed indicated in according to said second attribute of said hyperlink address string; 
 means for hyperlinkinga browser operably coupled to said means for processingprocessor for said hyperlinking to said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed wherein said hyperlinking to said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed prints said predetermined printable output of said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed according to said one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed indicated in said second attribute of said hyperlink address string and 
 means for printingsaid printer operably coupled to said means for processingprocessor for printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed according to said one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in anthe initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed indicated in said second attribute of said hyperlink address string to transform said print method from said receiver receiving said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to said printer printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed according to said second attribute of said hyperlink address string.

A computer-implemented method deploying timer means and a generator for temporally defining predetermined printable output of a resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to predetermined program material are arrayed for generating an hyperlink address string structured as a print method for transmission in conjunction with program signals representative of predetermined program material for hyperlinking to a said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to transform said print method from a receiver receiving said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to a printer printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed according to a second attribute of said hyperlink address string wherein said hyperlinking to said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed activates said printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed, said method including the step of:
 generating said hyperlink address string via said generator for said transmission of said hyperlink address string in conjunction with said program signals representative of said predetermined program material including a first attribute indicating a predetermined hyperlink address comprising a resource identifier identifying said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed and a said second attribute indicating one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed wherein: 
 said timer means determines predetermined one or a plurality of timing instructions for said hyperlinking to said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed timely printing said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed according to said one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed indicated in said second attribute.

The method of  claim 2  wherein said hyperlink address string comprises a character string and said resource identifier identifying said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed comprises an URI or URL.

The method of  claim 2  wherein said print method comprises a PrintWriter method and said hyperlink address string is structured as a PrintWriter method including said first attribute indicating said predetermined hyperlink address comprising said resource identifier identifying said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed and said second attribute indicating said one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed wherein
 said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed is defined within a at least one print() or println() statement of said PrintWriter method, 
 said one or a plurality of predetermined parameters defining said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed comprises at least one predetermined parameter instructing a PrintWriter to print said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed and 
 said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed is printed via said PrintWriter.

The method of  claim 4  wherein said hyperlink address string is structured as a PrintWriter method having an out parameter and said PrintWriter prints said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to display on a screen.

The method of  claim 4  wherein said hyperlink address string is structured as a PrintWriter method having a writer parameter and said PrintWriter prints said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to display on a screen.

The method of  claim 4  wherein said hyperlink address string is structured as a PrintWriter method having a pw parameter and said PrintWriter prints said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to display on a screen.

The method of  claim 4  wherein said hyperlink address string is structured as a PrintWriter method having a PrintStream (ps) parameter and said PrintWriter prints said predetermined printable output of said resource in the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed to display on a screen.

 encoding said hyperlink address string for transmission in conjunction with said program signals representative of said predetermined program material.

The apparatus of  claim 14  wherein said apparatus further comprises means for hyperlinking a browser operably coupled to said means for processing processor and said hyperlink address string further includes a third attribute indicating said means for hyperlinking browser is user-activated wherein said apparatus further comprises:
 means for storing, means for visually displaying and means for user-activating, each operably coupled to said means for processing processor and collectively configured for user-activating said means for hyperlinking browser to hyperlink to said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed, said means for storing to store for predetermined time said predetermined hyperlink address and said means for visually displaying to visually display for predetermined time predetermined data to prompt said user-activating said means for hyperlinking browser to hyperlink to said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed, both said means for storing and said means for visually displaying responsive to said third attribute, and said means for user-activating to activate said means for hyperlinking browser to hyperlink to said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed.

The apparatus of  claim 14  wherein said apparatus further comprises means for hyperlinking a browser operably coupled to said means for processing processor and said hyperlink address string further includes a third attribute indicating said means for hyperlinking browser is automatically activated wherein said apparatus further comprises:
 means for automatically activating said means for hyperlinking browser operably coupled to said means for processing processor and configured for automatically activating said means for hyperlinking browser to automatically hyperlink to said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed responsive to said third attribute. 
 
     
     
       23. The apparatus of  claim 21  or  22  wherein said means for hyperlinking browser comprises a web browser means.

The apparatus of  claim 14  wherein said print method comprises a PrintWriter method and said hyperlinking prints said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed via a PrintWriter.

The apparatus of  claim 14  wherein said predetermined printable output of said resource in an the initial array position of a list in which resource identifiers uniquely identifying resources corresponding to said predetermined program material are arrayed is printed to paper via XHTML-Print.
