Two-part or three-part continuous form

Abstract

A mailer business form assembly comprises a non-adhesive bearing message sheet and one or more adhesive-bearing cover sheets prepared for printing of the message sheet, alignment and sealing to provide multiple mailers.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. An improved business form assembly kit, provided in an intermediate condition, comprising: a message web having a series of spaced, transverse perforation lines and a plurality of message sheets between the transverse perforation lines, each message sheet having end edges along the transverse perforation lines, marginal edges, a longitudinal dimension between the end edges along a longitudinal axis, and a transverse dimension between the marginal edges along a transverse axis, marginal lines of perforations along the marginal edges of the message sheet extending fully between the end edges, transverse, end lines of perforations extending along and spaced from the end edges between the marginal lines of perforations; and   an independent cover web having a series of spaced cover web transverse perforation lines and a plurality of cover sheets between the cover web transverse perforation lines, marginal lines of perforations defining cover sheet marginal strips, each cover sheet having cover sheet end edges along the cover web transverse perforation lines, cover sheet marginal edges, a longitudinal dimension between the cover sheet end edges equal to the longitudinal dimension of the message sheet, a transverse dimension between the cover sheet marginal edges equal to the transverse dimension of the message sheet and transverse perforation lines extending between the cover sheet marginal strips defining cover sheet end strips;   the cover sheet of suitable dimensions to be superimposed upon the message sheet and further having marginal lines of heat sealable adhesive along the cover sheet marginal edges extending fully between the cover sheet end edges and being nearer the cover sheet marginal edges than the message sheet marginal lines of perforations are to the message sheet marginal edges, transverse, end lines of heat sealable adhesive along the cover sheet end edges extending fully between the cover sheet marginal edges and being nearer the cover sheet end edges than the message sheet end lines of perforations are to the message sheet end edges, the marginal and end lines of heat sealable adhesive located so as to first adhere the cover sheet to the message sheet in .[.the.]. .Iadd.a .Iaddend.collating and sealing machine.   
     
     
       2. The business form .[.mailer.]. assembly .Iadd.kit .Iaddend.of claim 1 in an intermediate condition wherein the message sheet is provided free of adhesive. 
     
     
       3. The improved .[.continuous.]. business form assembly kit, provided in an intermediate condition, of claim 1, further comprising: an independent back cover web having a series of spaced back cover web transverse perforation lines and a plurality of back cover sheets between the back cover web transverse perforation lines, marginal lines of perforations defining back cover sheet marginal strips, each back cover sheet having back cover sheet end edges along the back cover web transverse perforation lines, back cover sheet marginal edges, a longitudinal dimension between the back cover sheet end edges equal to the 1ongitudinal dimension of the message sheet, a transverse dimension between the back cover sheet marginal edges equal to the transverse dimension of the message sheet and transverse perforation lines extending between the back cover sheet marginal strips defining back cover sheet end strips;   the back cover sheet of suitable dimensions to be superimposed upon the message sheet and further having marginal lines of heat sealable adhesive along the back cover sheet marginal edges extending fully between the back cover sheet end edges and being nearer the back cover sheet marginal edges than the message sheet marginal lines of perforations are to the message sheet marginal edges, transverse, end lines of heat sealable adhesive along the back cover sheet end edges extending fully between the back cover sheet marginal edges and being nearer the back cover sheet end edges than the message sheet end lines of perforations are to the message sheet end edges, the marginal and end lines of heat sealable adhesive located so as to first adhere the back cover sheet to the message sheet in the collating and sealing machine. .Iadd.   
     
     
       4.  The business form assembly kit of claim 1 wherein the marginal line of perforations defining a cover sheet marginal strip along one side of said cover sheet is nearer the marginal edge of said cover sheet along said one side thereof than a marginal line of perforations along a side of the message sheet corresponding to said one side of said cover sheet is to a message sheet marginal edge along said corresponding side such that, when the heat sealable adhesive adheres the cover sheet to the message sheet in the collating and sealing machine, an edge is created on the cover sheeet to enable grasping of the cover sheet. .Iaddend. .Iadd.5. An improved business form assembly kit, provided in an intermediate condition, comprising: a message web having a series of spaced, transverse perforation lines, each message sheet having end edges along the transverse perforation lines, a marginal edges, a longitudinal dimension between the end edge along a longitudinal axis, and a transverse dimension between the marginal edges along a transevers axis, marginal lines of perforations along and spaced from the marginal edges of the message sheet extending fully between the end edges to define marginal strips, transverse, end lines of perforations extending along and spaced from the end edges between the marginal lines of perforations; and   an independent cover web having a series of spaced cover web transverse perforation lines and a plurality of cover sheets between the cover web transverse perforation lines, each cover sheet having cover sheet end edges along the cover web transverse perforation lines, cover sheet marginal edges, marginal lines of perforation extending along and spaced from said cover sheet marginal edges to define therewith cover sheet marginal strips, a longitudinal dimension between the cover sheet end edges equal to the longitudinal dimension of the message sheet, a transverse dimension between the cover sheet marginal edges equal to the transverse dimension of the message sheet and transverse perforation lines extending between the cover sheet marginal strips defining cover sheet end strips;   the cover sheet of suitable dimensions to be superimposed upon the message sheet and further having marginal lines of heat sealable adhesive along the cover sheet marginal strips extending substantially fully between the cover sheet end edges and being nearer the cover sheet marginal edges than the message sheet marginal lines of perforations are to the message sheet marginal edges, transverse, end lines of heat sealable adhesive along the cover sheet end strips extending substantially fully between the cover sheet marginal edges and being nearer the cover sheet end edges than the message sheet end lines of perforations are to the message sheet end edges, the marginal and end lines of heat sealable adhesive located so as to adhere the cover sheet to the message sheet in in final assembly

The business form mailer assembly kit of claim 5 wherein the marginal line of perforations defining a cover sheet marginal strip along one side of said cover sheet being nearer the marginal edge of said cover sheet along said one side thereof than a marginal line of perforations along a side of the message sheet corresponding to said one side of said cover sheet is to a message sheet marginal edge along said corresponding side such that, when the heat sealable adhesive adheres the cover sheet to the message sheet in the collating and sealing machine, an edge is created to enable grasping of

A business form assembly, provided in an intermediate condition, comprising: a message web having a series of spaced, transverse perforation lines and a plurality of message sheets between the transverse perforation lines, each message sheet having end edges along the transverse perforation lines, marginal edges, a longitudinal dimension between the end edges along a longitudinal axis, and a transverse dimension between the marginal edges along a transverse axis, marginal lines of perforations along and spaced from the marginal edges of the message sheet extending fully between the end edges to define marginal strips, transverse, end lines of perforations extending along and spaced from the end edges between the marginal lines of perforations; and   an independent cover web havinq a series of spaced cover web transverse perforation lines and a plurality of cover sheets between the cover web transverse perforation lines, each cover sheet having cover sheet end edges along the cover web transverse perforation lines, cover sheet marginal edges, a marginal line of perforations extending along and spaced from at least one of said cover sheet marginal edges to define therewith at least one cover sheet marginal strip, a longitudinal dimension between the cover sheet end edges equal to the longitudinal dimension of the message sheet, a transverse dimension between the cover sheet marginal edges equal to the transverse dimension of the message sheet;   the cover sheet of suitable dimensions to be superimposed upon the message sheet and further having marginal heat sealable adhesive along and adjacent to the marginal edges of said cover sheet including along said at least one cover sheet marginal strip, said marginal heat sealable adhesive extending substantially between the cover sheet end edges and being nearer the cover sheet marginal edges than the message sheet marginal lines of perforations are to the message sheet marginal edges, heat sealable adhesive along and adjacent to the cover sheet end edges between the cover sheet marginal edges and being nearer the cover sheet end edges than the message sheet end lines of perforations are to the message sheet end edges, the marginal heat sealable adhesive and the end edge of heat sealable adhesive being located to enable the cover sheet and the message sheet to be secured to one another in a final assembly thereof. .Iaddend.
