       3. The .[.product.]. .Iadd.varnish .Iaddend.of claim 1 wherein n is about 4 to about 50.

       4. The .[.product.]. .Iadd.varnish .Iaddend.of claim 2 where n is about 4 to about 50.

       5. The .[.product.]. .Iadd.varnish .Iaddend.of claim 1 wherein the hydrocarbon is .[.a mixture of unoxidized polyethylene and.]. oxidized polyethylene.

       6. The .[.product.]. .Iadd.varnish .Iaddend.of claim .[.5.]. .Iadd.19 .Iaddend.wherein the oxidized polyethylene .[.mixture.]. comprises about 55-95% by weight of the .[.polyethylene mixture.]. .Iadd.hydrocarbon.Iaddend..

       7. A method of coating a product comprising the steps of forming an aqueous mixture of a. a finely divided mostly linear aliphatic hydrocarbon .[.and/or.]. .Iadd.or a .Iaddend.modified hydrocarbon .Iadd.or mixtures thereof .Iaddend.having a molecular weight of about 300-3,000 .Iadd.selected from the group consisting of (i) a copolymer of ethylene and either propylene, butylene, vinyl acetate or acrylic acid; (ii) petroleum-derived waxes; (iii) Fischer-Tropsch waxes; (iv) natural wax; and (v) partially oxidized hydrocarbon.Iaddend.; and b. a compound represented by the formula: ##STR4## wherein R and R 1 are independently hydrogen or C 1 -C 10 alkyls; R 2 is hydrogen or methyl, x is about 8 to about 75; and n is about 2 to about 65; adding the thus-formed aqueous mixture to an overprint aqueous varnish; mixing the aqueous mixture and varnish; and applying the resulting mixture to a product bearing printing ink indicia.

       8. The method of claim 7 wherein x is about 19 to about 44.
