Transaction processing system

Abstract

A transaction processing system applicable to an automatic transaction machine such as an automatic cash dispenser or an automatic cash deposit machine which can automatically carry out transactions such as cash dispensing, balance check and depositing by an operation of an operator is disclosed. An initial operation direction is first displayed. If the initial operation in accordance with the other processing procedure is conducted by the operator, the processing is executed in the other processing procedure.

I claim: 
     
       1. A transaction processing system in an automatic transaction machine for automatically carrying out transactions .[.including.]. .Iadd.such as .Iaddend.cash withdrawal, balance checking .[.and.]. .Iadd.or .Iaddend.depositing by .[.an operation.]. .Iadd.at least one operation .Iaddend.of an operator, comprising the steps of: preparing a plurality of processing procedures for .[.such.]. .Iadd.a .Iaddend.transaction;   .[.displaying.]. .Iadd.indicating .Iaddend.an initial operation direction relating to one of the processing procedures for processing the transaction in accordance with said one processing procedure; and   if an initial operation relating to other processing procedure than .[.displayed.]. .Iadd.indicated .Iaddend.is conducted, proceeding the processing in accordance with said other processing procedure.   
     
     
       2. A transaction processing system according to claim 1 wherein said one processing procedure is initiated when the operator first selects the type of transaction and said other processing procedure is initiated when the operator first .[.inserts a magnetic card.]. .Iadd.sets a transaction medium of an operator .Iaddend.into a .[.magnetic card.]. .Iadd.transaction medium .Iaddend.receptacle.

A transaction processing system according to claim 1 wherein said one processing procedure is initiated when the operator first .[.inserts a magnetic card.]. .Iadd.sets a transaction medium of an operator .Iaddend.into a .[.magnetic card.]. .Iadd.transaction medium .Iaddend.receptacle and said other processing procedure is initiated when the operator first selects the type of transaction.

A method of automatically carrying out by a machine a type of transaction initiated and designated by an operator adapted for banking business, the initiation and designation including two kinds of input operation by the operator, one for designating the kind of transaction and the other for .[.enhancing identification of the operator by the use of a storage medium.]. .Iadd.setting a transaction medium into a transaction medium receptacle.Iaddend., comprising the steps of: (a) .[.displaying a message that the machine is ready for the input operation.]. .Iadd.indicating an initial operation direction relating to an operation sequence.Iaddend.;   (b) .[.sequentially.]. detecting the presence and the kind of an input operation;   (c) .[.displaying.]. .Iadd.indicating.Iaddend., after detection of an input operation, a message for prompting the other kind of operation than the detected input operation regardless of the kind of .[.the displayed message,.]. .Iadd.indicated initial operation; and .Iaddend.   .[.(d) preparing the machine for the designated transaction when the input operations have been properly performed; and.].   .[.(e).]. .Iadd.(d) .Iaddend.carrying out the designated transaction automatically by the machine .Iadd.when the input operations have been properly performed.Iaddend..

A transaction processing system in an automatic transaction machine for automatically carrying out transactions such as cash withdrawal, balance checking or depositing by at least one operation of an operator, comprising the steps of:   preparing a plurality of processing procedures for a transaction;   indicating an initial operation direction relating to one of the processing procedures for processing the transaction in accordance with said one processing procedure;   if an initial operation relating to other processing procedure than indicated is conducted, proceeding the processing in accordance with said other processing procedure; and   making the operator conduct said indicated initial operation during the procession of said other processing procedure..Iaddend. .Iadd.7. A transaction processing system according to claim 7 wherein, when said other processing procedure is first executed, said selection of the transaction type is executed after an operation of inputting a secret number used for checking data memorized in said transaction medium..Iaddend. .Iadd.9. A method of automatically carrying out transactions such as cash withdrawal, balance checking or depositing by at least one operation of an operator, comprising the steps of:   (a) preparing a plurality of processing procedures for a transaction,   (b) indicating an initial operation direction relating to one of the processing procedures for processing the transaction in accordance with said one processing procedure,   (c) indicating, after the detection of an input operation, a message for prompting the other kind of operation than the detected input operation regardless of the kind of the indicated initial operation, and   (d) carrying out the designated transaction automatically by the machine when the at least one operation has been properly performed..Iaddend. .Iadd.10. A method of automatically carrying out transactions according to claim 9 wherein said one processing procedure is initiated when the operator first selects the type of transaction and said other processing procedure is initiated when the operator first sets a transaction medium of an operator into a transaction medium receptacle..Iaddend. .Iadd.11. A system for automatically carrying out transactions such as cash withdrawal, balance checking or depositing by at least one operation of an operator, comprising:   (a) means for preparing a plurality of processing procedures for a transaction,   (b) means for indicating an initial operation direction relating to one of the processing procedures for processing the transaction in accordance with said one processing procedure,   (c) means for indicating, after the detection of an input operation, a message for prompting the other kind of operation than the detected input operation regardless of the kind of the indicated initial operation, and   (d) means for carrying out the designated transaction automatically by the machine when the at least one operation has been properly

A system for automatically carrying out transactions such as cash withdrawal, balance checking or depositing by operation of an operator, comprising:   (a) means for preparing a plurality of processing procedures for a transaction,   (b) means for indicating an initial operation direction relating to one of the processing procedures for processing the transaction in accordance with said one processing procedure,   (c) means for indicating, after the detection of an input operation, a message for prompting the other kind of operation than the detected input operation regardless of the kind of the indicated initial operation,   (d) means for making the operator conduct said indicated initial operation during the procession of said other processing procedure, and   (e) means for carrying out the transaction automatically by the machine
