Abstract

A new and distinct variety of shrub rose plant, herein referred to by its cultivar name, ‘Meikaquinz’, is provided which forms in abundance on a substantially continuous basis attractive, cup-shaped, yellow colored blossoms which emit a strong fragrance. Attractive, semi-glossy, medium green foliage is formed. The disease tolerance is very good, particularly with respect to black spot. The new variety is well suited for proving attractive ornamentation in the landscape.

I claim: 
     
       1. A new and distinct variety of shrub rose plant characterized by the following combination of characteristics:
 (a) abundantly and substantially continuously forms attractive, cup-shaped, yellow blossoms which emit a strong fragrance, 
 (b) forms attractive, ornamental, semi-glossy foliage, 
 (c) exhibits excellent resistance to pests and diseases, particularly with respect to black spot, and 
 (d) is well suited for providing attractive ornamentation; 
 
       substantially as herein shown and described.
