Claims
Abstract
A display device includes: a display panel displaying an image; a first frame surrounding the display panel; and an adhesive between a side surface of the display panel and a side surface of the first frame, wherein the display device is attached and fixed to the first frame by the adhesive.

1. A display device, comprising:
a display panel displaying an image;
a first frame surrounding the display panel;
a second frame combined with the first frame; and
an adhesive between a side surface of the display panel and a side surface of the first frame,
wherein the display panel is attached and fixed to the first frame by the adhesive,
wherein the first frame has a rectangular ring shape and includes a vertical portion, and wherein the adhesive is formed on a top surface of the vertical portion,
wherein the second frame includes a horizontal portion under the display panel and a sidewall portion perpendicularly bent from an edge portion of the horizontal portion, and
wherein the adhesive is formed on and in contact with a top surface of the sidewall portion.
2. The device according to claim 1 , further comprising a backlight unit under the display panel, the backlight unit supplying a light to the display panel.
3. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive is formed on an edge front surface of the display panel and a top surface of the first frame.
4. The device according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive includes one of polyester material, instant glue, polymer glue resin, derivatives thereof and blends including at least two thereof.
5. The device according to claim 4 , wherein the polyester material includes one of cyanoacrylate resin, epoxy resin, polyolefine, polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), polyacrylate, polyacrylic acid, polyurethane and polyethyleneterephthalate (PET), wherein the instant glue includes silicon resin, and wherein the polymer glue resin includes one of thermal glue and solvent-based glue.
6. A method of fabricating a display device, comprising:
providing a display panel displaying an image;
forming a first frame surrounding the display panel;
forming a second frame combined with the first frame; and
forming an adhesive between a side surface of the display panel and a side surface of the first frame by a coating method,
wherein the display panel is attached and fixed to the first frame by the adhesive,
wherein the first frame has a rectangular ring shape and includes a vertical portion, and wherein the adhesive is formed on a top surface of the vertical portion, and
wherein the second frame includes a horizontal portion under the display panel and a sidewall portion perpendicularly bent from an edge portion of the horizontal portion, and wherein the adhesive is formed on and in contact with a top surface of the sidewall portion.
7. The method according to claim 6 , further comprising disposing a backlight unit under the display panel, the backlight unit supplying a light to the display panel.
8. The method according to claim 6 , further comprising hardening the adhesive by one of a heat, a light, a moisture and a time.
