Pants with extended zipper

Abstract

An article of clothing comprising a waistband having a front area adapted to be worn on the front of the user and a rear area adapted to be worn on the rear of the user. Leg members extend from the waistband, each of which has a distal end spaced apart from the waistband and an inseam extending between each distal end of the pair of leg members. A short zipper extends between the front area of the waistband and a location near the inseam. An extended zipper extends between the pair of leg members and extends between a location adjacent to the rear area of the waistband and a location adjacent to the front area of the waistband. A first portion of the extended zipper is positioned adjacent to the short zipper such that both the first portion of the extended zipper and the short zipper are located underneath a flap.

1. An article of clothing adapted to be worn on the lower portion of a user, said article of clothing comprising:
 (a) a waistband, said waistband being adapted to extend around the user in the area of the user's waist and having a front area adapted to be worn on the front of the user and a rear area adapted to be worn on the rear of the user; 
 (b) a pair of leg members extending from the waistband, each of said pair of leg members being adapted to surround at least a portion of one of the user's legs and each of said pair of leg members having:
 (1) a distal end, said distal end being spaced apart from the waistband; and 
 (2) an inseam extending between each distal end of the pair of leg members; 
 
 (c) a short zipper, said short zipper extending between a location in the front area of the waistband and a location near the inseam of the article of clothing; 
 (d) an extended zipper, said extended zipper extending between the pair of leg members, and said extended zipper extending between a location adjacent to the rear area of the waistband and a location adjacent to the front area of the waistband; 
 
       wherein a first portion of the extended zipper is laterally offset and parallel to a portion of the short zipper such that both the first portion of the extended zipper and the short zipper are located underneath a flap. 
     
     
       2. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the extended zipper extends from the location adjacent to the front area of the waistband to the location adjacent to the rear area of the waistband. 
     
     
       3. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the extended zipper extends from the location adjacent to the rear area of the waistband to the location adjacent to the front area of the waistband. 
     
     
       4. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the extended zipper comprises a two-way zipper. 
     
     
       5. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the extended zipper is disposed along a centerline of the article of clothing. 
     
     
       6. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the first portion of the extended zipper is offset from a centerline of the article of clothing. 
     
     
       7. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the short zipper is disposed along a centerline of the article of clothing. 
     
     
       8. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the short zipper is offset from a centerline of the article of clothing. 
     
     
       9. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the first portion of the extended zipper is covered by an interior flap. 
     
     
       10. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the short zipper is covered by an interior flap. 
     
     
       11. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein the short zipper and the first portion of the extended zipper are covered by an interior flap. 
     
     
       12. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein a second portion of the extended zipper is covered by an interior cover. 
     
     
       13. The article of clothing of  claim 1  wherein a second portion of the extended zipper is exposed.
