Abstract
A method for inhibiting neoplasia, particularly cancerous and precancerous lesions by exposing the affected cells to pyrazolopyridylpyridazinone derivatives.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1. A method of treating a mammal having precancerous lesions comprising administering to said mammal a pharmacologically effective amount of a compound of Formula I or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: ##STR36## wherein R 1 is a lower alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkyl group having 3-6 carbon atoms; R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , and R 5 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a lower alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, and a phenyl group; or R 3 and R 5 together form a double bond, wherein said mammal is sensitive to said compound.
2. A method for inhibiting the growth of neoplastic cells comprising exposing the cells to a growth inhibiting effective amount of a compound of Formula I or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: ##STR37## wherein R 1 is a lower alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, or a cycloalkyl group having 3-6 carbon atoms; R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , and R 5 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a lower alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, and a phenyl group; or R 3 and R 5 together form a double bond, wherein said cells are sensitive to said compound.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
