Rotary drum filtration apparatus with a detachable filter
Abstract
In order to greatly shorten the filter exchange time required for detachably winding a filter (20) on the opening portions (2) formed in the outer circumferential surface of a filtration drum (1), projecting or recessed annular mounting portions (6) are respectively formed near edge portions of the outer circumferential surface of the filtration drum, to have portions (7) which prevent the wound filter from moving toward the center in the thrust direction of a main shaft (4) of the filtration drum and which maintain the filter liquid-tight, and the filter (20) is firmly fixed with fastening means (22).
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A filtering apparatus to be used together with industrial machines comprising machine tools for cutting or grinding, or cleaning machines, said filtering apparatus being comprised of: a filtration drum which is rotatably driven, and a filter detachably wound thereon, for filtering soil liquid used in said industrial machines into solids and a liquid, the filter being wound over a plurality of opening portions formed in an outer circumferential surface of the filtration drum; annular mounting portions respectively formed near edge portions of said outer circumferential surface of said filtration drum, having portions which prevent the wound filter from moving toward a center in a direction of a rotatably driving main shaft of said filtration drum, said portions maintaining the filter liquid-tight; fastening means for firmly fixing said filter on said annular mounting portions and rendering said filter detachable; and bridge portions arranged between adjacent ones of said plurality of opening portions so that the opening portions are arranged at a predetermined pitch along a rotating direction of said filtration drum, and wherein winding start and end portions of said filter are firmly and detachably fixed on one of said bridge portions.
2. The apparatus according to claims, wherein said winding start and end portions are fixed on one of said bridge portions with a plate member having settling means for making solids floating on a surface of the soil liquid settle in the soil liquid.
3. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said solids are chips or grinding chips.
4. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said liquid is one from the group consisting of cutting work liquid, grinding work liquid, and cleaning liquid for component cleaning.
5. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said fastening means comprises strings movably incorporated in tubular portions respectively formed on edge portions of said filter in the rotating direction of the filtration drum.
6. The apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said strings each have one end integrally formed with a first locking portion and another end integrally formed with a second locking portion to be locked by said first locking portion.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
