Abstract
A modular binder system that includes modular binder backing section that may be interlocked in the lateral direction and in receipt of various item holders. Numerous types and designs of item holders coact with the backing sections to form a book-like binder system.

1. A modular binding system comprising in combination: a back section including a longitudinal spine, a lateral slot on one side of the spine and a lateral arm with a rib on the end of the arm on the other side of the spine, said rib sized to slidably fit in the slot whereby multiple back sections may be attached together side by side by engaging the rib and slot of adjacent sections; said back section further including a longitudinal shaped channel intermediate the rib and slot; and an item holder slidably engaged with the channel, said item holder including a longitudinal flange on one side thereof, having a cross section congruent with the cross section of the shaped channel of the back section and said flange further including a cross bar means to hold the flange in the channel, said holder further including means for attaching an item to the holder on the opposite side thereof, said means for attaching being selected from a variety of alternatives.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
