Abstract

This invention relates to synergistic biocide compositions having decreased sensitization potential.

What is claimed: 
     
       1. A microbicidal composition comprising a synergistic mixture the first component of which is in the range of from about 1.2 to 25.4% of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and the second component of which is in the range of from about 74.6 to about 98.8% of 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one. 
     
     
       2. The microbicidal composition of claim 1 wherein the 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one is in the range of from about 2.3 to 8.5% and the 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one is in the range of from about 91.5 to about 97.7%. 
     
     
       3. The microbicidal composition of claim 2 wherein the 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one is in the range of from about 2.3 to about 4.5% and the 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin3-one is in the range of from about 95.5 to about 97.7%.
