Construction component
Abstract
A construction beam assembly is configured to be supported, at least in part, by a load-receiving feature of a prop-head assembly when the prop-head assembly is fixedly connected to a construction column configured to extend perpendicular relative to a ground surface. The construction beam assembly includes a beam including opposite end portions. A beam end support is affixed to each end portion of the opposite end portions of the construction beam assembly. Each beam end support includes a lower portion configured to contact, at least in part, the load-receiving feature of the prop-head assembly when the construction beam assembly is supported by the prop-head assembly. The weight of the construction beam assembly is transferred, at least in part, to the prop-head assembly via the beam end support when the beam end support of the construction beam assembly contacts, at least in part, the prop-head assembly.

a beam including opposite end portions, wherein a beam end support is affixed to each end portion of the opposite end portions of the construction beam assembly, wherein each beam end support includes a lower portion configured to contact, at least in part, the load-receiving feature of the prop-head assembly when the construction beam assembly is supported by the prop-head assembly,
wherein the weight of the construction beam assembly is transferred, at least in part, to the prop-head assembly via the beam end support when the beam end support of the construction beam assembly contacts, at least in part, the prop-head assembly.
2 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein the lower portion of each beam end support comprises:
a flat face configured to be parallel to the load-receiving feature of the prop-head assembly, wherein the flat face is configured to at least partially contact the load-receiving feature of the prop-head assembly when the construction beam assembly is supported by the prop-head assembly; and a curved transition adjacent to the flat face, wherein the curved transition is configured to permit the construction beam assembly to slope downwards.
3 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein the lower portion of each beam end support comprises:
a curved portion, wherein the curved portion is configured to be spaced apart from a shackle-receiving hole defined through the prop-head assembly when the beam end support contacts, at least in part, the prop-head assembly.
4 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein the construction beam assembly further comprises a channel defined across a length of the beam, wherein the channel is configured to receive a positioning feature of a beam-end-support bracket, wherein the beam-end-support bracket includes a separation feature configured to permit movement between the beam-end-support bracket and the beam, and
wherein the beam end support further comprises a guide feature which protrudes from a surface of the beam end support, wherein, when the channel receives the positioning feature of the beam-end-support bracket, the separation feature of the beam-end-support bracket at least partially wraps around the guide feature and the guide feature stabilizes at least one of the beam or the beam-end-support bracket when the beam-end-support bracket is installed to the beam.
5 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein each beam end support further comprises a pin configured to be selectively received, at least in part, by a first recess of the prop-head assembly, and wherein the construction beam assembly further comprises a lock receiver defined through the beam and the beam end support, wherein the lock receiver is vertically displaced from the pin, wherein the lock receiver is configured to receive a beam lock assembly configured to lock the position of the beam relative to the prop-head assembly.
6 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein each beam end support further comprises:
a vertical face; and a tapered face, wherein the tapered face is adjacent to and angled away from the vertical face, and wherein the tapered face is configured to permit the construction beam assembly to be inclined upwards.
7 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein each beam end support further comprises:
a vertical face; a guide feature protruding from the beam end support in a direction perpendicular to the vertical face; a pin configured to be selectively received, at least in part, by a first recess of the prop-head assembly; a lock receiver defined through the beam end support, wherein the lock receiver is parallel to and vertically displaced from the pin; and a cavity configured to receive a portion of the prop-head assembly.
8 . A prop-head assembly configured to support, at least in part, a construction beam assembly when the prop-head assembly is fixedly connected to a construction column configured to extend perpendicular relative to a ground surface, wherein the construction beam assembly is configured to be positioned perpendicular relative to the construction column such that the construction beam assembly is parallel with the ground surface, the prop-head assembly comprising:
a prop base plate configured to attach to a portion of the construction column; a locator plate assembly configured to affix to the prop base plate, the locator plate assembly including a first recess, wherein the first recess is configured to at least partially receive a pin of the construction beam assembly; and a load-receiving feature positioned centrally on the locator plate assembly, wherein the load-receiving feature is configured to receive and support the construction beam assembly.
9 . The prop-head assembly of claim 8 , wherein the locator plate further defines a shackle-receiving hole configured to receive a shackle assembly.
10 . The prop-head assembly of claim 9 , further comprising a stability wire affixed to the shackle assembly, wherein the stability wire is configured to stabilize the prop-head assembly.
11 . The prop-head assembly of claim 8 , wherein the locator plate assembly further includes a second recess, wherein the second recess is configured to at least partially receive a beam lock assembly of the construction beam assembly.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
