Method for controlling garment processing device
Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for controlling a garment processing device comprising: a drum for accommodating a garment; a control unit for rotating the drum to detect the weight of the garment; a display unit for displaying information provided by the control unit; a selection unit disposed to transmit commands received from a user to the control unit. The method for controlling a garment processing device comprises: a weight detection step for detecting the weight of the garment by rotating the drum; and an excessive weight detection step for detecting whether the detected weight is an excessive weight exceeding a reference value. The method further comprises: an identification request step in which when the weight is detected as an excessive weight in the excessive weight detection step, information is displayed via the display unit to request identification of whether the weight of the garment is an actual excessive weight; an identification input step in which a command to identify whether the weight of the garment is an actual excessive weight is input via the selection unit; and a weight reduction step in which when a command indicating that the weight of the garment is not an actual excessive weight is input in the identification input step, the information corresponding to a weight less than the detected weight is displayed in the display unit.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
a cabinet having an opening defined in a front surface thereof; a door coupled to the cabinet to open and close the opening; a lock configured to lock the door to the cabinet; a drum disposed inside the cabinet to accommodate laundry therein; a driver connected to the drum to rotate the drum; and a control panel including a display configured to externally display information and a power member configured to receive a command for supplying power, wherein the driver is configured to rotate the drum while the lock unlocks the door when the power member is pressed, wherein the display is configured to display weight information of the laundry after the drum starts to rotate, and wherein the display is configured to further display one or more of confirmation information including a state that the laundry is recognized to be wet based on wet laundry being introduced into the drum, treatment information including a method for treating the laundry that is wet, and recommendation information suggesting a measure regarding the wet laundry to the user.
2 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the display is configured to display one or more of the confirmation information, the treatment information, and the recommendation information while the lock unlocks the door.
3 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the confirmation information includes a content requesting confirmation of the user on whether the laundry is wet.
4 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the confirmation information includes a content asking whether to execute a selected course based on a sensed weight of the laundry.
5 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the control panel further includes a selector configured to receive confirmation from the user that the laundry is dry, and
wherein the driver is configured to further rotate and stop the drum based on the selector being pressed after the confirmation information is displayed on the display.
6 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the driver is configured to:
rotate the drum less than once and stop the drum before the confirmation information is displayed on the display; and rotate the drum once or more and stop the drum after the selector is pressed.
7 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the treatment information includes a content indicating that, when a course for treating the laundry is executed, the course will be executed in a time period smaller than a time period corresponding to a sensed weight of the laundry or a smaller amount of water will be supplied.
8 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the treatment information includes a content of starting a course to treat the laundry after the drum rotates at a speed equal to or higher than a speed allowing the laundry to rotate by being attached to an inner wall of the drum and stops.
9 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the recommendation information includes a content suggesting the user to execute a dehydration course of removing moisture from the laundry by rotating the drum among courses of treating the laundry.
10 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the recommendation information includes a content suggesting the user to dry the laundry outside the drum.
11 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the display is configured to display one or more of the confirmation information, the treatment information, and the recommendation information after the drum stops when an amount of laundry introduced into the drum reaches a range corresponding to a great amount.
12 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein when the drum rotates and then stops within a time period smaller than a reference value, the display is configured to display one or more of the confirmation information, the treatment information, and the recommendation information after the drum stops.
13 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein when the drum rotates by an angle equal to or smaller than a reference angle corresponding to a weight and then stops, the display is configured to display one or more of the confirmation information, the treatment information, and the recommendation information after the drum stops.
14 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the control panel further includes an execution member configured to receive an execution command for executing a course for treating the laundry,
wherein the lock is configured to lock the door based on the execution member being pressed, and wherein the driver is configured to rotate the drum once or more and stop the drum after the door is locked.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
