Abstract
A fender ( 1 ) for boats suitable to couple with boat edges having a sandwich projection is described comprising a base ( 2 ) adapted to be fixed to the boat edge by fixing means, and an insert ( 3 ) able to be reversibly coupled by interlocking with the base ( 2 ). The base ( 2 ) comprises an attachment portion ( 21 ) adapted to rest on an edge of the boat, and an adapter portion ( 22 ) comprising a cavity ( 221 ) adapted to house the sandwich projection of the edge of the boat.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fender for adapted to couple with boat edges with a sandwich projection, wherein it comprises a base adapted to be fixed a boat edge by fixing means, and an insert able to be reversibly coupled by interlocking with the base,
wherein the base comprising an attachment portion adapted to rest on the edge of the boat, and an adapter portion comprising a cavity adapted to house the sandwich projection of the edge of the boat.
2 . The fender according to claim 1 , wherein the attachment portion and the adapter portion are side-by-side.
3 . The fender according to claim 2 , wherein the cavity interrupts a resting surface of the base.
4 . The fender according to claim 3 , wherein the cavity is channel-shaped with two straight transverse surfaces mutually parallel facing each other and a straight front surface orthogonal to the two straight transverse surfaces.
5 . The according to claim 1 , wherein the base comprises attachment protrusions able to couple with a first recess and a second recess of the insert which comprises attachment protrusions able to be housed in a cavity of the base, wherein the first recess comprises a first straight flat surface while the second comprises a second straight flat surface, wherein the first straight flat surface is shorter than the second straight flat surface wherein the first straight flat surface of the insert is able to rest on a first straight flat surface of the base, while the second straight flat surface of the insert is able to rest on a second straight flat surface of the base, wherein the second straight flat surface of the base is longer than the first straight flat surface of the base.
6 . A The according to claim 5 ,
the base has two side portions and a central curved portion adapted for being inserted by the fixing means in a direction orthogonal to the attachment protrusions, wherein inclined portions and the attachment protrusions, together with the central curved portion define the cavity of the base wherein the attachment protrusions extend toward a symmetry axis of the cavity, toward each other, wherein the base further comprises two side fins that extend from side portions toward the symmetry axis so as to form a step, wherein the insert comprises a core with an outer surface able to interact with external bodies impacting against the fender and the two attachment protrusions V-shaped and forming a central groove with an arched profile, wherein the attachment protrusions provide straight outer portions able to couple with the inclined portions of the base.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
