Toilet Latch

Abstract

Disclosed is a toilet latch that bears two units, a static unit and a releasing unit, and is connected by a strap. The two units are connected by a strap. The strap is affixed to the static unit and is removably attached to the releasing unit. The toile latch bears a sliding lock which moves a sliding blocker contained within the releasing unit. Two buttons are present that when depressed engages a spring that enables the strap to be detached.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A toilet latch comprising:
 a strap;   a static unit;   a releasing unit;   the static unit comprising a flexible adhesive disc and the releasing unit comprising a flexible adhesive disc;   the static unit further comprising a front fixing plate, a rear fixing plate, and a clasping unit;   the clasping unit being positioned between the front fixing plate and the rear fixing plate; and   the clasping unit having a left sidewall and a right sidewall.   
     
     
         2 . The toilet latch as in  claim 1  comprising:
 the rear fixing plate being centrally positioned about the flexible adhesive disc of the static unit; 
 the rear fixing plate comprising a first latching tower and a second latching tower; and 
 the first latching tower and the second latching tower being diametrically across from one another. 
 
     
     
         3 . The toilet latch as in  claim 2  comprising:
 the clasping unit having a first aperture and a second aperture; 
 the clasping unit being centrally positioned on the rear fixing plate; 
 the first latching tower traversing through the first aperture; 
 the second latching tower traversing through the second aperture; and 
 a sliding lock being affixed to external face of the front fixing plate. 
 
     
     
         4 . The toilet latch as in  claim 1  comprising:
 a first button; 
 a second button; 
 the first button comprising a pair of prongs; 
 the second button comprising a pair of prongs; 
 the first pair of prongs and second pair of prongs are positioned directly across from one another. 
 
     
     
         5 . The toilet latch as in  claim 4  comprising:
 the left sidewall comprising a first end a second end; and 
 the right sidewall comprising a first end and a second end; 
 the first button being positioned between the first end of the left sidewall and the first end of the right sidewall; and 
 the second button being positioned between the second end of the right sidewall and the second end of the left sidewall. 
 
     
     
         6 . The toilet latch as in  claim 4  comprising;
 a first spring; 
 a second spring; 
 a sliding blocker; 
 the sliding blocker comprising a plurality of projections; 
 the first spring being positioned between the first prong in the pair of prongs of the first button and the first prong of the pair of prongs of the second button 
 the second spring being positioned between the second prong in the pair of prongs of the first button and the second prong of the pair of prongs of the second button; and 
 the sliding blocker being positioned between the first spring and the second spring. 
 
     
     
         7 . The toilet latch as in  claim 1  comprising:
 the strap having a first end, a second end, and a strap aperture; 
 the strap aperture being positioned about the first end of the strap; and 
 the strap traversing from the static unit to the releasing unit. 
 
     
     
         8 . The toilet latch holder as in  claim 1  comprising:
 the static unit comprising an upper mounting plate and a bottom mounting plate. 
 
     
     
         9 . The toilet latch as in  claim 8  comprising:
 the bottom mounting plate being affixed to the flexible adhesive disc of the static unit; 
 the bottom mounting plate having a central panel, a central aperture, and a central arm; 
 the central aperture being positioned in the middle of the central panel; and 
 the central arm extending from the central panel medially within the central aperture. 
 
     
     
         10 . A toilet latch as in  claim 8  comprising:
 the upper mounting plate having an internal surface and an external surface; 
 a central stem being positioned about the internal surface; 
 an inner lip being perimetrically positioned about the internal surface; and 
 the central stem comprising a first arm and a second arm. 
 
     
     
         11 . A toilet latch as in  claim 10  comprising:
 the first arm extending outward from the central stem; 
 the second arm extending outward from the central stem opposite the first arm; 
 a central divot being positioned between the first arm and the second arm; 
 the strap being connected to the static unit via the central stem; and 
 the rear fixing plate being centrally positioned about the flexible adhesive disc of the static unit. 
 
     
     
         12 . A toilet latch comprising:
 a strap;   a static unit;   a releasing unit;   the static unit comprising a flexible adhesive disc and the releasing unit comprising a flexible adhesive disc;   the static unit further comprising a front fixing plate, a rear fixing plate, and a clasping unit;   the clasping unit being positioned between the front fixing plate and the rear fixing plate; and   the clasping unit having a left sidewall and a right sidewall; and   the strap having a first end, a second end, and a strap aperture.   
     
     
         13 . The toilet latch holder as in  claim 12 :
 the rear fixing plate comprising a first latching tower and a second latching tower;   the first latching tower and the second latching tower being diametrically across from one another;   the clasping unit having a first aperture and a second aperture;   the clasping unit being centrally positioned on the rear fixing plate;   the first latching tower traversing through the first aperture;   the second latching tower traversing through the second aperture; and   a sliding lock being affixed to external face of the front fixing plate.   
     
     
         14 . The toilet latch as in  claim 12  comprising
 a first button; 
 a second button; 
 the first button comprising a pair of prongs; 
 the second button comprising a pair of prongs; 
 the first pair and second pair of prongs are positioned directly across from one another; 
 the left sidewall comprising a first end a second end; 
 the right sidewall comprising a first end and a second end; 
 the first button being positioned between the first end of the left sidewall and the first end of the right sidewall; and 
 the second button being positioned between the second end of the right sidewall and the second end of the left sidewall. 
 
     
     
         15 . An toilet latch as in  claim 14  comprising:
 a first spring; 
 a second spring; 
 a sliding blocker; 
 the sliding blocker comprising a plurality of projections; 
 the first spring being positioned between the first prong in the pair of prongs of the first button and the first prong of the pair of prongs of the second button 
 the second spring being positioned between the second prong in the pair of prongs of the first button and the second prong of the pair of prongs of the second button; and 
 the sliding blocker being positioned between the first spring and the second spring. 
 
     
     
         16 . The toilet latch holder as in  claim 12  comprising:
 the strap aperture being positioned about the first end of the strap; 
 the strap traversing from the static unit to the releasing unit; and 
 the static unit comprising an upper mounting plate and a bottom mounting plate. 
 
     
     
         17 . The toilet latch as in  claim 16  comprising:
 the bottom mounting plate being affixed to the flexible adhesive disc of the static unit; 
 the bottom mounting plate having a central panel, a central aperture, and a central arm; 
 
     
     
         18 . The toilet latch as in  claim 17  comprising:
 the central aperture being positioned in the middle of the central panel; 
 the central arm extending from the central panel medially within the central aperture; 
 the upper mounting plate having an internal surface and an external surface; 
 a central stem being positioned about the internal surface; 
 an inner lip being perimetrically positioned about the internal surface. 
 
     
     
         19 . The toilet latch as in  claim 18  comprising:
 the central stem comprising a first arm and a second arm; 
 the first arm extending outward from the central stem; 
 the second arm extending outward from the central stem opposite the first arm; 
 a central divot being positioned between the first arm and the second arm; 
 the strap being connected to the static unit via the central stem; and 
 the rear fixing plate being centrally positioned about the flexible adhesive disc of the static unit.
