Abstract
A hair-styling tool is described. The hair-styling tool may include a remateable fluid reservoir. Moreover, the hair-styling tool may include a vapor-generating device mechanically coupled to the replaceable fluid reservoir, where, during operation, the vapor-generating device receives liquid from the fluid reservoir and outputs a vapor. The vapor-generating device may include: an atomizer; and a vapor control that controls the atomizer. Furthermore, the atomizer may include a wave-generation component that, during operation, excites the liquid to create waves in the liquid and creates droplets in the vapor. Additionally, the hair-styling tool may include a removable detangling accessory, which may include one or more prongs. Note that the atomizer may include a piezoelectric component.

1 . A hair-styling tool, comprising:
a remateable fluid reservoir; a vapor-generating device mechanically coupled to the replaceable fluid reservoir, wherein the vapor-generating device is configured to receive liquid from the fluid reservoir and to output a vapor, wherein the vapor-generating device comprises: an atomizer; and a vapor control configured to control the atomizer, and wherein the atomizer comprises a wave-generation component configured to excite the liquid to create waves in the liquid and to create droplets in the vapor; and a removable detangling accessory comprising one or more prongs.
2 . The hair-styling tool of claim 1 , wherein the atomizer comprises a piezoelectric component.
3 . The hair-styling tool of claim 1 , wherein the atomizer comprises multiple atomizers and, during operation of the hair-styling tool, different numbers of atomizers are used to create droplets in the vapor based at least in part on different vapor-flow settings of the hair-styling tool.
4 . The hair-styling tool of claim 1 , wherein the hair-styling tool comprises a heater thermally coupled to at least a channel from the vapor-generating device; and
wherein during operating, the heater is configured to heat the vapor output by the vapor-generating device.
5 . The hair-styling tool of claim 4 , wherein, during operation of the hair-styling tool, when a cool setting of the hair-styling tool is activated, the heater is deactivated.
6 . The hair-styling tool of claim 4 , wherein the heater comprises a resistive heater.
7 . The hair-styling tool of claim 6 , wherein the resistive heater comprises, at least in part, a zig-zag or a helical shape.
8 . The hair-styling tool of claim 4 , wherein the hair-styling tool comprises a temperature sensor proximate to the detangling accessory;
wherein the temperature sensor is configured to monitor a temperature of the vapor and the hair-styling tool comprises a control circuit configured to adjust power to at least the heater based at least in part on the monitored temperature.
9 . The hair-styling tool of claim 8 , wherein the power is adjusted based at least in part on a maximum temperature.
10 . The hair-styling tool of claim 9 , wherein the maximum temperature corresponds to a length of the one or more prongs, a type of hair of an individual, or both.
11 . The hair-styling tool of claim 1 , wherein the hair-styling tool comprises multiple atomizers;
wherein a given atomizer has a corresponding given channel in multiple channels from the vapor-generating device.
12 . The hair-styling tool of claim 11 , wherein the hair-styling tool comprises separate heaters for the given atomizer and the given channel.
13 . The hair-styling tool of claim 12 , wherein the heaters comprise a common ground.
14 . The hair-styling tool of claim 12 , wherein the hair-styling tool comprises separate power sources for the heaters.
15 . The hair-styling tool of claim 1 , wherein the detangling accessory, the liquid, or both correspond to a type of hair of an individual.
16 . The hair-styling tool of claim 1 , wherein the fluid reservoir is remateably coupled to the hair-styling tool by: rotating, relative to the remainder of the hair-styling tool, the fluid reservoir about an axis of the fluid reservoir into a lock position; or by pushing the fluid reservoir into a quick connector in the hair-styling tool.
17 . The hair-styling tool of claim 1 , wherein the hair-styling tool is configured to heat the liquid prior to outputting the vapor.
18 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for use in conjunction with a hair-styling tool, the computer-readable storage medium storing program instructions, wherein, when executed by the hair-styling tool, the program instructions cause the hair-styling tool to perform one or more operations comprising:
selecting a number of atomizers in a vapor-generating device in the hair-styling tool based at least in part on a vapor-flow setting of the hair-styling tool; and exciting, using the selected number of atomizers, a liquid associated with a remateable fluid reservoir in the hair-styling tool to create waves and droplets in a vapor output by the hair-styling tool.
19 . A method for operating a hair-styling tool, comprising:
by the hair-styling tool: selecting a number of atomizers in a vapor-generating device in the hair-styling tool based at least in part on a vapor-flow setting of the hair-styling tool; and exciting, using the selected number of atomizers, a liquid associated with a remateable fluid reservoir in the hair-styling tool to create waves in the liquid and to create droplets in a vapor output by the hair-styling tool.
