Abstract

A package comprising two or more absorbent articles is disclosed. The package encloses two or more absorbent articles. The package comprises a plurality of panels formed by at least one sheet. The package exhibits a Collapse Resistance Force of at least 0.5 N.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A package for absorbent articles comprising:
a first sheet of a first package material, which forms a front panel, a back panel opposite the front panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel opposite the first side panel; a top panel and a bottom panel opposite the top panel, wherein the panels define an interior compartment of the package, and wherein two or more absorbent articles are enclosed in the interior compartment; wherein the bottom panel is at least partially formed by the first sheet; wherein the top panel is partially formed by the first sheet; wherein the package exhibits a Collapse Resistance Force of at least 0.5 N, preferably at least 1.0 N, more preferably at least 2.0 N, even more preferably at least 3.0 N, even more preferably at least 4.0 N or even at least 5.0 N according to the Collapse Resistance Test disclosed herein.

2 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the package exhibits a Collapse Resistance Energy of at least 2.0 N*mm according to the Collapse Resistance Test disclosed herein.

3 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the package is cuboidal.

4 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the first package material comprises natural fibers.

5 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the package further comprises a second sheet of a second package material partially forming the top panel, wherein the second sheet and the first sheet form the top panel.

6 . The package of claim 5 , wherein the second sheet is attached to the first sheet such that a hinge is formed and wherein the top panel is at least partially reclosable via the second sheet.

7 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the first sheet is envelope folded to partially form the top panel and/or at least partially form the bottom panel.

8 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the top panel comprises an area substantially perpendicular to the front panel, the back panel, the first side panel, and/or the second side panel, which is at least 25 cm 2 .

9 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the first package material has a Basis Weight of between about 50 gsm and about 120 gsm, according to the Basis Weight Test Method disclosed herein.

10 . The package of claim 5 , wherein the second sheet is attached to the first sheet via one or more adhesives.

11 . The package of claim 5 , wherein the second package material comprises natural fibers.

12 . The package of claim 5 , wherein the package further comprises a third sheet of a third package material comprising natural fibers and partially forming the bottom panel, wherein the third sheet is at attached to the part of the bottom panel formed by the first sheet such that the bottom panel is formed.

13 . The package of claim 12 , wherein the first and/or second and/or third package material has a Basis Weight of between about 50 gsm and about 120 gsm, according to the Basis Weight Test Method disclosed herein.

14 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the part of the top panel formed by the first sheet is partially folded over itself to form a folded area and wherein at least a portion of the folded area is not adhesively attached to itself.

15 . The package of claim 14 , wherein a second sheet of a second packaging material at least partly covers the folded area and wherein the folded area is able to unfold upon removal of the second sheet from the folded area.

16 . The package of claim 14 , wherein, upon at least partial unfolding of the folded area, the opening is expanded such that the absorbent articles fit through the expanded opening.

17 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the package exhibits a recyclable percentage of between about 60 percent to about 99.9 percent determined via test PTS-RH: 021/97 (Draft October 2019) under category II, as performed by Papiertechnische Stiftung located at Pirnaer Strasse 37, 01809 Heidenau, Germany.

18 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the package exhibits a Stackability Value of at least 2 according to the Stackability Test disclosed herein.

19 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the package exhibits a Stackability Tilt Value of at least 12.5°, preferably at least 15.0° according to the Stackability Test disclosed herein.
