Abstract

A board game device is disclosed which comprises a body component that is configured in a flat, rectangular shape which can be folded into a box. The game is intended for two to four players. Players use the central spinner to dictate where they can go on the board game device and can pick up cards when necessary to further dictate player movement across the board. Throughout the game, players must navigate the barriers to polling and voting, with spaces on the board representing various hindrances that players must overcome, thereby awarding points either negatively or positively based on their reactions to certain voting scenarios. The goal of the game is to accumulate the most points.

What is claimed is:

1 . A board game device in which players move around a board and respond to certain voting scenarios to gain points, the board game device comprising:
a central spinner; and a board; wherein players spin the central spinner to dictate movement around the board; and further wherein players score points based on their specific responses to voting scenarios on the board.

2 . The board game device of claim 1 , wherein the central spinner contains words about voting that cause movement around the board.

3 . The board game device of claim 1 , wherein the central spinner contains numerical values which indicate movement around the board.

4 . The board game device of claim 1 , wherein the board contains rectangular blocks surrounding an outer perimeter.

5 . The board game device of claim 4 , wherein the rectangular blocks contain voting scenarios that relate to voting hindrances.

6 . The board game device of claim 4 , wherein the rectangular blocks contain a prompt to choose a player card to further promote movement around the board.

7 . The board game device of claim 6 , wherein the player card indicates where the player may move on the board or how many points that player will receive that turn.

8 . The board game device of claim 1 , wherein once a player accumulates a predetermined number of points or a predetermined number of rounds around the board, the board game device is over and the player wins.

9 . The board game device of claim 1 , wherein the board game device can be played by 2 to 4 players.

10 . The board game device of claim 1 further comprising chips of various colors to designate players.

11 . The board game device of claim 10 further comprising a container for storing the central spinner, the board, and the player cards.

12 . The board game device of claim 11 , wherein a first player is chosen by designating one player to begin play.

13 . The board game device of claim 12 further comprising a plurality of indicia.

14 . A board game device in which players spin a central spinner and move around the board to various voting scenarios, the board game device comprising:
a central spinner; a board with rectangular blocks surrounding an outer perimeter; and chips of various colors; and a plurality of player cards; wherein players score points based on specific responses to voting scenarios which are found within each rectangular block; wherein at least one of the rectangular blocks prompts a player to pick up a select one of the plurality of player cards; and further wherein players score points based on the voting scenarios.

15 . A method of playing a board game about voting rights, the method comprising the following steps:

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein after the first player chooses a chip of various colors to designate them on the board, the second player chooses a chip of various colors to designate them on the board.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein once a player spins the central spinner and is awarded a certain number of points for their response to the voting scenario within the rectangular block that their designated chip of various colors lands on, that player's turn is over and the player must stop moving around the board.
