Garment Accessory

Abstract

A clothing accessory including a band assembly configured to cover at least a portion of a wearer's bra and means for securing the band assembly to a wearer. The means for securing the band assembly is configured to connect a first end of the band assembly to a second end of the band assembly. At least a portion of either the band assembly or the means for securing the band assembly is exposed to an observer during use.

1 . A clothing accessory, comprising:
 a) a band assembly configured to cover at least a portion of a wearer's bra; and,   b) means for securing said band assembly to a wearer, configured to connect a first end of the band assembly to a second end of the band assembly,   
       wherein at least a portion of either said band assembly or said means for securing said band assembly is exposed to an observer during use. 
     
     
         2 . The clothing accessory of  claim 1 , wherein said band assembly, comprises:
 a) a winged back band element;   b) a support perimeter system connected to said winged back band element;   c) a first end connector system positioned at a first end of said winged back band element; and,   d) a second end connector system positioned at a second end of the winged back band element.   
     
     
         3 . The clothing accessory of  claim 2 , wherein said winged back band element is formed of four way stretch material. 
     
     
         4 . The clothing accessory of  claim 3 , wherein said four ways stretch material comprises a synthetic nylon yarn/fabrication. 
     
     
         5 . The clothing accessory of  claim 2 , wherein said support perimeter system comprises silicon grip material. 
     
     
         6 . The clothing accessory of  claim 2 , wherein said support perimeter system comprises boning material to provide shape and structure to the back band element. 
     
     
         7 . The clothing accessory of  claim 2 , wherein said first end and second end connector systems, comprise hook tape. 
     
     
         8 . The clothing accessory of  claim 1 , wherein said means for securing said band assembly, comprises a plurality of spaced strap assemblies connected thereto, positioned to secure a bra. 
     
     
         9 . The clothing accessory of  claim 1 , wherein said means for securing said band assembly, comprises a plurality of spaced strap assemblies connected thereto, positioned to secure a bra, each strap assembly including a strap element and a pair of complementary snap or magnet elements. 
     
     
         10 . The clothing accessory of  claim 1 , wherein said means for securing said band assembly, comprises a front connector system, comprising:
 a) a central bridge portion;   b) a cradle system, comprising:
 i. a first side cradle section depending from a first side of said central bridge portion; and, 
 ii. a second side cradle section depending from a second side of said central bridge portion; and, 
   c) a wing system, comprising:
 i. a first side front connector system wing element depending from said first side cradle section, said first side front connector system wing element comprising eyelet tape thereon; and, 
 ii. a second side front connector system wing element depending from said second side cradle section, said second side front connector system wing element comprising eyelet tape thereon. 
   
     
     
         11 . The clothing accessory of  claim 1 , wherein said front connector system further includes an elastic loop system for securing the front connector system to the bra. 
     
     
         12 . The clothing accessory of  claim 1 , wherein said front connector system further includes an elastic loop system for securing the front connector system to the bra, said elastic loop system comprising:
 d) a first elastic loop element positioned on the first side front connector system wing element and a first complementary fastener engageable therewith; and,   e) a second elastic loop element positioned on the second side front connector system wing element and a second complementary fastener engageable therewith.   
     
     
         13 . The clothing accessory of  claim 10 , further including stitching and boning for stabilizing and holding the fabric together. 
     
     
         14 . A method for covering a back portion of a bra during use, comprising:
 a) providing a band assembly configured to cover at least the back portion of a wearer's bra; and,   b) securing the band assembly to the wearer utilizing a means for securing, said means for securing the band assembly operating by connecting a first end of the band assembly to a second end of the band assembly,   wherein at least a portion of either said band assembly or said means for securing said band assembly is exposed to an observer during use.
