Versatile Hand Covering

Abstract

A versatile hand covering ( 1 ) that is wrapped around the hand and wrist leaving the palmar side of the digits predominantly uncovered. This enables the transfer of body heat between the digits and tactility, dexterity and grip is unhindered. A foldable palm section ( 8 ) can be folded to uncover the palm and heel of the hand, a foldable thumb section ( 9 ) can be folded to uncover the thumb and a foldable fingertip section ( 12 ) can be folded to uncover the fingertips. The whole hand can be enclosed in the versatile hand covering ( 1 ) when the hand is clenched and the temperature of the hand can be regulated by altering the amount the hand is clenched and the amount the hand is covered by the foldable sections.

1 . A versatile hand covering for covering the dorsal side of a hand whilst enabling the palmar side of the hand to be uncovered including a foldable palm section ( 8 ), comprising:
 digit retainers ( 2 ,  3 ,  4 ,  5 ) for accommodating digits of the hand and securing the hand covering to the dorsal side of the hand;   an adjustable wrist fastening ( 6 ,  7 ) for securing the hand covering to a wrist, characterised by the foldable palm section ( 8 ) which unfolded covers the palm and heel of the hand whilst enabling the palmar side of the digits to remain uncovered or folded exposes the palm and heel of the hand.
