Adhesive Foam Cushions Covered In Polyester Fabric Specifically Used In Boots.

Abstract

A 2-part 2 size, 2 inch wide and 1 inch wide ankle cushion made of polyester teddy fur fabric or polyester and cotton blend fabric, densified polyester batting foam and double-sided adhesive foam. Once backing is removed from the lower surface revealing adhesive, the lower part of the cushions adheres to the inner collar and inner tongue of a user's boot, which makes for a soft pillow like cushion thereby protecting ankle and preventing pain, rubbing and bruising.

1 . A 2-part, 2-size 2 inch wide and 1 inch wide ankle cushion for boots that provides relief for pain, rubbing and bruising, said ankle cushion adheres to the back of the inner collar and behind tongue of a user boot, said boot ankle cushion comprising:
 a cushion shaped to fit in the inner collar adapted to fit against the user ankle to prevent friction and bruising.   a cushion shaped to fit behind the tongue adapted to fit against the user ankle to prevent friction and bruising.   wherein said collar cushion and tongue cushion are placed in boot.   wherein said collar cushion is adapted to fit comfortably against the back and side of the user's ankle to prevent friction and bruising.   and wherein said tongue cushion is adapted to fit comfortably against the front of the user's ankle to prevent friction and bruising.   
     
     
         2 . A cushion as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein said collar cushion and said tongue cushion is adapted to fit comfortably around the user's entire ankle. 
     
     
         3 . A cushion as  claimed in 1 or 2 , wherein said collar cushion is constructed from material that is soft and allows for compression. 
     
     
         4 . A cushion as claimed in any one of  claims 1 to 3 , wherein said tongue cushion is constructed from material that is soft and allows for compression. 
     
     
         5 . A cushion as in  claim 3 or 4 , wherein said material outer layer is a teddy fur polyester or a cotton and polyester blend, with the inner layer being densified polyester batting foam. 
     
     
         6 . A cushion as claimed in any one of  claims 1 to 5 , wherein the peak thickness of said collar cushion and said tongue is about ¾ inch. 
     
     
         7 . A cushion as claimed in any one of  claims 1 to 6 , wherein said collar cushion and said tongue cushion occupy space during natural occurring movement when user is wearing a boot. 
     
     
         8 . A cushion as in any one of the  claims 1 to 7 , wherein user boot size determines the size of said cushion needed. 2 inch wide or 1 inch wide. 
     
     
         9 . A cushion as claimed in any  claim 3 to 5 , wherein the thickness of said cushioning portion is about ⅝ inch. 
     
     
         10 . A cushion as claimed in any one of the  claims 1 to 8 , wherein the lower surface of said cushion is covered with double sided adhesive polyethylene foam tape for securing said insert to a lining of a boot.
