Abstract

An artificial eyelash extension unit may be formed using a bridge, and/or knotting or lashing, to connect artificial lashes to a base. Heat may not be required nor involved in forming a connection between the artificial lashes and the base. The artificial eyelash extension unit may be a knotted eyelash extension unit having a knotted base including, containing, having, or supporting one or more knots, such as loops, twists, or bindings. An artificial eyelash extension unit may be formed without a base.

 wherein the bridge connects the plurality of artificial eyelashes so that, when the bridge is applied together with the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes to the underside of the natural eyelashes:
 the bridge is positioned between the underside of the natural eyelashes and the topside of the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes; and
 the topside of the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes is positioned between the bridge and the underside of the plurality of artificial eyelashes.

         4 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of  claim 3 , wherein the bridge has a topside and an underside;
 wherein the bridge connects the plurality of artificial eyelashes so that, when the bridge is applied together with the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes to the underside of the natural eyelashes:
 the topside of the bridge is positioned between the underside of the natural eyelashes and the underside of the bridge;
 the underside of the bridge is positioned between the topside of the bridge and the topside of the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes; and
 the topside of the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes is positioned between the underside of the bridge and the underside of the plurality of artificial eyelashes.

         5 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 4 , further comprising an adhesive configured to:
 be disposed on the topside of the bridge; and connect the bridge, together with the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes, to the underside of the natural eyelashes.

         6 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 4 , wherein the bridge comprises:
 a first end portion and a second end portion spaced therefrom; and a first edge portion and a second edge portion spaced therefrom; wherein each of the first and second edge portions extends from the first end portion to the second end portion; and wherein the first end portion, the second end portion, the first edge portion, and the second edge portion at least partially define the topside of the bridge.

         7 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 6 , wherein the bridge is an adhesive bridge.

         8 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 7 , wherein the adhesive bridge is an adhesive, and wherein the adhesive is one or more of the following: a tape; an epoxy; a resin; a glue; a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA); a double-sided tape.

         9 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 1 , further comprising an adhesive configured to connect the bridge and the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes to the natural eyelashes.

         10 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 9 , wherein the adhesive is pre-applied to the bridge.

         11 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 1 , wherein the bridge comprises one or more of the following: a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA); an epoxy; a resin; a glue; a tape; or a double-sided tape.

         12 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 1 ,
 wherein the plurality of artificial eyelashes comprises:
 a first cluster of artificial eyelashes; and
 a second cluster of artificial eyelashes spaced from the first cluster of artificial eyelashes; and
   wherein the first and second clusters have respective topsides which together at least partially form a topside of the plurality of artificial eyelashes.

         13 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of claim 12 , wherein the bridge connects the first and second clusters together by:
 engaging the topside of the first cluster; engaging the topside of the second cluster; and extending between:
 the engagement of the bridge with the topside of the first cluster; and
 the engagement of the bridge with the topside of the second cluster.

         14 . The artificial eyelash extension unit of  claim 1 , wherein the bridge has a topside and an underside;
 wherein the bridge comprises:
 a first end portion and a second end portion spaced therefrom; and
 a first edge portion and a second edge portion spaced therefrom;
   wherein each of the first and second edge portions extends from the first end portion to the second end portion; wherein the first end portion, the second end portion, the first edge portion, and the second edge portion at least partially define the topside of the bridge; wherein the plurality of artificial eyelashes has a topside and an underside; wherein the bridge connects the plurality of artificial eyelashes so that, when the bridge is applied together with the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes to the underside of the natural eyelashes:
 the topside of the bridge is positioned between the underside of the natural eyelashes and the underside of the bridge;
 the underside of the bridge is positioned between the topside of the bridge and the topside of the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes; and
 the topside of the connected plurality of artificial eyelashes is positioned between the underside of the bridge and the underside of the plurality of artificial eyelashes;
   wherein the plurality of artificial eyelashes comprises:
