Control Channel Repetition for Downlink Signal Reception
Abstract
A wireless device receives one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages indicating a plurality of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for a control resource set (coreset) having a lowest coreset index in an active downlink bandwidth part of a cell. The wireless device receives a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating activation of at least two TCI states of the plurality of TCI states for the coreset with the lowest coreset index. The MAC CE comprises an ordered set of TCI state identifiers (IDs) of the at least two TCI states. The wireless device receives downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a downlink signal. The wireless device selects a first TCI state, among the at least two TCI states, with a TCI state ID that occurs first in the ordered set of TCI state IDs. The wireless device receives the downlink signal based on the first TCI state.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A wireless device comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
receive one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages indicating a plurality of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for a control resource set (coreset), wherein the coreset has a lowest coreset index in an active downlink bandwidth part of a cell;
receive a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating activation of at least two TCI states of the plurality of TCI states for the coreset with the lowest coreset index, wherein the MAC CE comprises an ordered set of TCI state identifiers (IDs) of the at least two TCI states;
receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a downlink signal;
select a first TCI state, among the at least two TCI states, with a TCI state ID that occurs first in the ordered set of the TCI state IDs, wherein selecting the first TCI state is based on:

one or more TCI states, of the at least two TCI states, comprising quasi co-located type D information; and
receive the downlink signal based on the first TCI state.
2 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the downlink signal is a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission.
3 . The wireless device of claim 2 , wherein receiving the downlink signal comprises at least one demodulation reference signal (DMRS) antenna port, of the PDSCH transmission, being quasi co-located with a reference signal indicated by the first TCI state.
4 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the downlink signal is an aperiodic channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS).
5 . The wireless device of claim 4 , wherein receiving the downlink signal is further based on measuring a radio link quality of the aperiodic CSI-RS based on a reference signal indicated by the first TCI state.
6 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein:
the instructions further cause the wireless device to receive one or more messages comprising one or more configuration parameters for the cell; and the one or more configuration parameters indicate the threshold.
7 . The wireless device of claim 6 , wherein the one or more configuration parameters further indicate, for the coreset, the lowest coreset index among one or more coreset indexes of one or more coresets in the active downlink bandwidth part of the cell.
8 . The wireless device of claim 7 , wherein the one or more configuration parameters further indicate the one or more coreset indexes for the one or more coresets that comprise the coreset.
9 . The wireless device of claim 7 , wherein receiving the DCI is via a second coreset, wherein the one or more configuration parameters further indicate a second coreset pool index for the second coreset.
10 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein the one or more configuration parameters further indicate a first coreset pool index for the coreset, wherein the first coreset pool index and the second coreset pool index are the same.
11 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein:
the instructions further cause the wireless device to receive one or more messages comprising one or more configuration parameters for the cell; and selecting the TCI state is further based on the one or more configuration parameters indicating a single frequency network (SFN) scheme for the cell.
12 . The wireless device of claim 9 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to monitor the one or more coresets in a latest time slot.
13 . A wireless device comprising:
one or more processors; and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
receive, from a base station, one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages, the one or more RRC
messages comprising:
a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state parameter indicating a plurality of TCI states; and
an index with a value, wherein:
a first value of the index indicates to apply a first TCI state, of at least two TCI states, to a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception; and
a second value of the index indicates to apply a second TCI state, of the at least two TCI states, to the PDSCH reception;
receive, from the base station, a control command indicating the at least two TCI states of the plurality of TCI states; receive, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) scheduling the PDSCH reception; and receive, from the base station, the PDSCH reception based on a TCI state, among the at least two TCI states, indicated by the value of the index.
14 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein:
the first TCI state occurs first in a set of the at least two TCI states; and the second TCI state occurs second in the set of the at least two TCI states.
15 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein the index is:
a control resource set (coreset) pool index; a transmission-reception point (TRP) index; or an antenna panel index.
16 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein the control command is a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).
17 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein the control command indicates the at least two TCI states for a coreset.
18 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein receiving the PDSCH reception based on the TCI state is in response to the DCI not comprising a TCI field.
19 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein a time offset between the DCI and the PDSCH reception is equal to or greater than or less than a threshold.
20 . The wireless device of claim 13 , wherein at least one demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) antenna port, of the PDSCH reception, is quasi co-located with a reference signal indicated by the TCI state.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
