Abstract

A cooking apparatus includes: a cavity defining a cooking chamber therein; a casing covering at least a portion of the cavity; a heating chamber configured to generate steam supplied to an inner space of the cavity; and a tank assembly including a tank storing water for steam generation that is supplied to the heating chamber, and an oil mist remover configured to remove oil mist from gas discharged from the cavity, where the tank assembly is detachably coupled to an outer portion of the cavity.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A cooking apparatus comprising:
a cavity defining a cooking chamber therein; a casing covering at least a portion of the cavity; a heating chamber configured to generate steam to be supplied to an inner space of the cavity; and a tank assembly including a tank configured to store water to be supplied to the heating chamber for steam generation, and an oil mist remover configured to remove oil mist from gas discharged from the cavity, wherein the tank assembly is detachably coupled to an outer portion of the cavity.

2 . The cooking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tank assembly is detachably coupled to a front of the casing.

3 . The cooking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tank assembly is disposed in an external space of the casing.

4 . The cooking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tank assembly is disposed in a space between the casing and the cavity.

5 . The cooking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tank assembly is disposed below the cavity.

6 . The cooking apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the tank assembly is disposed above the cavity.

7 . The cooking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the oil mist remover comprises:
a filter chamber recessed from one surface of the tank and defining an oil mist removal space; and a filter cover detachably coupled to the filter chamber and covering the filter chamber, the filter cover including a partition wall that reduces velocity and temperature of gas flowing in the oil mist removal space.

8 . The cooking apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the oil mist remover further comprises:
a cover inlet tube which is mounted to the filter cover and through which gas flows into the filter chamber; and a cover outlet tube which is mounted to the filter cover and through which gas is discharged from the filter chamber.

9 . The cooking apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the oil mist remover further comprises a support rib protruding from one surface of the filter chamber and supporting the filter cover.

10 . The cooking apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a supporter supporting a lower portion of the casing,
wherein the supporter comprises an assembly accommodating space in which the tank assembly is accommodated.

11 . The cooking apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the assembly accommodating space is recessed downward from a front surface of the supporter.

12 . The cooking apparatus of claim 10 , further comprising:
a gas pump configured to supply gas, discharged from the cavity, to the oil mist remover; and a gas sensor configured to detect gas discharged from the oil mist remover, wherein the gas pump and the gas sensor are mounted to the supporter.

13 . The cooking apparatus of claim 12 , further comprising a water supply pump configured to supply water for steam generation, which is discharged from the tank, to the heating chamber,
wherein the water supply pump is mounted to the supporter.

14 . The cooking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the tank assembly further comprises a tray accommodating and supporting the tank and detachably mounted to the casing.

15 . The cooking apparatus of claim 14 , wherein one surface of the tray is exposed to a front surface of the casing when the tray is mounted to the casing.

16 . The cooking apparatus of claim 15 , further comprising a supporter supporting a lower portion of the casing,
wherein the tray is detachably coupled to the supporter.

17 . The cooking apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the tray further comprises:
a tank housing accommodating and supporting the tank; and a water collection unit coupled to the tank housing, collecting condensate water, and having a larger width than the tank housing.

18 . The cooking apparatus of claim 10 , further comprising a coupling housing to which the tank assembly is coupled, the coupling housing disposed inside the assembly accommodating space and coupled to a lower surface of the casing.

19 . The cooking apparatus of claim 18 , wherein the coupling housing comprises:
a water supply connector attached to or detached from a water supply tube through which the water for steam generation is discharged; a first gas connector attached to or detached from a cover inlet tube through which gas is supplied to the oil mist remover; and a second gas connector attached to or detached from a cover outlet tube through which gas is discharged from the oil mist remover.

         20 . A cooking apparatus comprising:
a cavity defining a cooking chamber therein; a casing covering at least a portion of the cavity; and a tank assembly including a tank configured to store water used in the cavity, and an oil mist remover configured to remove oil mist from gas discharged from the cavity, wherein the tank assembly is detachably coupled to the casing.
