Urinal system
Abstract
A urinal system that is configured to have a single or multiple urinal members wherein the invention includes a mounting member operably coupled to the urinal member providing collection of fluid waste and wherein the urinal member is tiltably coupled to the mounting member. The mounting member include a plurality of walls, a top and a bottom forming an interior volume. Mounted within the interior volume is a lower support member having a urinal member support bracket secured proximate the midpoint thereof. The mounting member has disposed therein a collector member wherein the collector member is fluidly coupled to the urinal member. The collector member includes a plurality of walls forming an interior volume operable to receive fluid therein. The bottom of the collector member is tapered so as to direct fluid flow in a desired direction. Collector couplers are mounted to ends of collector members in multiple unit installations.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof wherein the urinal system comprises:
at least one urinal member, said at least one urinal member having at least one wall forming an interior volume, said at least one urinal member configured to receive urine fluid therein; a mounting member, said mounting member having a front wall, a rear wall, opposing sidewalls, a top and a bottom integrally formed to create an interior volume, said at least one urinal member being movably coupled to said front wall of said mounting member, said mounting member being secured behind a wall of a structure, said mounting member having an upper support member and a lower support member, said upper support member being proximate an upper end of the mounting member and extending across the interior volume of the mounting member intermediate the opposing sidewalls, said lower support member being proximate a lower end of said mounting member and extending across the interior volume of the mounting member intermediate the opposing sidewalls; a collector member, said collector member being disposed within said interior volume of said mounting member, said collector member having a plurality of walls, a top and a bottom forming an interior volume, said collector member being fluidly coupled to said at least one urinal member, said collector member having a urinal coupling member formed on a front wall of the collector member, said urinal coupling member operable to provide a sealable connection between the collector member and said at least one urinal member; and wherein the bottom of the collector member has an angle thereto configured to direct fluid flow in a desired direction.
2 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 1 , and further including a urinal member support bracket, said urinal member support bracket being located at a midpoint of said lower support member disposed in said mounting member, said urinal member support bracket configured to provide tiltable movement of said at least one urinal member.
3 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 2 , and further including a keeper, said keeper being operably coupled to said upper support member disposed in said mounting member, said keeper configured to operably couple to an upper end of said at least one urinal member, said keeper configured to releasably secure said at least one urinal member in an upright position adjacent to the front wall of said mounting member.
4 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 3 , wherein said collector member includes at least one collector coupler, said collector coupler being operably secured to an end of the collector member, said collector coupler configured to operably couple an additional collector member to the collector member.
5 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 4 , and further including two solenoids, said two solenoids being operably coupled to a water supply source, said two solenoids configured to distribute water to a first location and a second location.
6 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 5 , wherein the first location is a urinal spray member, wherein the urinal spray member is operable to discharge water into the at least one urinal member proximate a top area of the at least one urinal member.
7 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 6 , wherein the second location is a collector member spray unit, said collector member spray unit being disposed in said collector member being operable to discharge water thereinto, wherein the discharged water has a different flow rate than the first location and further is discharged for an alternate period of time.
8 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 7 , wherein said top of said collector member includes at least one aperture, said at least one aperture configured to facilitate fluid coupling of said collector member spray unit.
9 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 8 , wherein the bottom of the collector member has a tapered form thereto.
10 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 9 , wherein said bottom of collector member further includes a drain aperture, said drain aperture configured to facilitate operable coupling of the collector member to a drain pipe.
11 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 10 , wherein said front wall of said mounting member further includes two access panels, said two access panels being releasably secured to said front wall of said mounting member, wherein one of said two access panels provides access to a P-trap and a second of the two access panels provides access to a clean-out location.
12 . The urinal system that is configured to provide access to elements thereof as recited in claim 11 , and further including a sensor, said sensor being operably mounted in said front wall of said mounting member, said sensor being operably coupled to one of said two solenoids being operable to provide activation thereof.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
