Fencing sport mechanical reel and light system
Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a fencing reel system (100) comprising a spool/reel drum (102) configured to wound a reel around. The system (100) comprising a handle (104) configured to carry the reel. The system (100) comprising a frame body (106) configured to provide supporting structure that holds the spool/reel drum (102) and handle (104) together. The system (100) comprising at least one threaded female opening (108) configured to accept extensions. The system (100) comprising at least one male threaded extender (110) attached to the threaded female opening (108) and configured to be screwed in the threaded female opening (108). The system (100) comprising a plurality of suction cup (112) attached to the end of the male threaded extender (110) and configured to secure positioning of the reel. The system (100) comprising a light functionality mechanism (114) with light repeaters (118) strategically placed behind the players to view the scores in real-time
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed for:
1 . A fencing reel system, the system comprising:
a spool/reel drum configured to wound a reel around; a handle attached to a side of the spool/reel drum, the handle configured to carry the reel ; a frame body encasing the spool/reel drum, the frame body configured to provide supporting structure that holds the spool/reel drum and the handle together; at least one threaded female opening integrated with the frame body, the threaded female opening configured to accept extensions; at least one male threaded extender attached to the threaded female opening, the male threaded extender configured to be screwed in the threaded female opening. a plurality of suction cup attached to the end of the male threaded extender, the suction cups configured to secure positioning of the reel; and a light functionality mechanism with scoring machine light repeaters coupled to the frame body and strategically placed behind the players, the light functionality mechanism configured to allow the players to view the scores in real-time while fencing.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the reel is activated either manually or electronically to adhere to a flat surface, for securing the reel in place.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the manual activation is through a manual lever or pump creating a vacuum seal between the suction cup and the surface.
4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the electronic activation is through a battery-powered or plug-in vacuum creating and maintaining the suction seal automatically.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the system has three male threaded extender and three suction cups.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the three male threaded extender and the three suction cups provides a possible maximum force in form of hundreds of pounds of physical pressure, required to move the reel.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the handle allows for easy gripping and comfortable gripping while carrying the reel.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the frame body includes a locking mechanism to lock the spool/reel drum for preventing unintentional unwinding.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the light functionality mechanism further includes:
a scoring machine with a plurality of light emitting diodes (LED); a plurality of light repeaters with a plurality of light emitting diodes (LED); and a synchronizer.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the process for synchronizing the scoring machine and the plurality of light repeaters for enhancing the visibility of score, further includes:
displaying the real-time score via the light repeaters; and positioning the light repeaters in locations visible to the fencers with the light repeaters replicate the lights of the scoring machine.
11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the light repeaters are strategically placed behind the players during a bout/play.
12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the spool/reel drum contains springs and spool allows for winding of reel wire around it.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the spool/reel drum is integrated with a ratchet mechanism that allows for controlled winding and unwinding and prevents tangling and/or quick loosening.
14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the frame body is embedded with a guide for facilitating even winding of the reel or wire or tape around the spool/reel drum to ensure a tidy and efficient winding process.
15 . A method for securing fencing reel, comprising:
adding a plurality of threaded female openings to a frame body; screwing a male threaded extender into one of the threaded female openings of the frame body; attaching a plurality of suction cup to the end of the male threaded extender; and activating the suction cups, either manually or electronically, to secure the position of the fame body.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
