Abstract

A pressurized vacuum cleaning system includes a housing, a spray pump and a spray line connected thereto, a first tank, a vacuum pump and a vacuum hose connected thereto, a second tank, a head assembly, and a control arrangement. The spray line and the vacuum hose extend out through the portal. The first tank is connected to the spray pump and contains a supply of cleaning medium. The second tank is connected to the vacuum pump and designed to contain vacuumed waste and used cleaning medium. The head assembly is handheld and includes a spray head connected to the spray line to dispense cleaning medium under pressure, a vacuum head connected to the vacuum hose to suction waste materials and used cleaning medium, and a cleaning structure. The control arrangement is designed to permit a user to selectively activate the spray pump to dispense the cleaning medium.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A pressurized vacuum cleaning system comprising:
 a housing configured to contain components therein and comprising a portal therein;   a spray pump and a spray line connected thereto and extending out through said portal;   a first tank connected to said spray pump and containing a supply of cleaning medium;   a vacuum pump and a vacuum hose connected thereto and extending out through said portal;   a second tank connected to said vacuum pump and configured to contain vacuumed waste and used cleaning medium;   a head assembly configured to be held in one hand by a user and comprising a spray head connected to said spray line to dispense cleaning medium under pressure, a vacuum head connected to said vacuum hose to suction waste materials and used cleaning medium, and a cleaning structure; and   a control arrangement configured to permit a user to selectively activate said spray pump to dispense said cleaning medium.   
     
     
         2 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said housing comprises a handle being extendable and retractable. 
     
     
         3 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said housing comprises a set of wheels. 
     
     
         4 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said spray line comprises a fixed spray line portion mounted in said portal and attached to said spray pump, and a flexible spray line portion detachably connected to said fixed spray line portion. 
     
     
         5 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said first tank comprises a heating element configured to heat said cleaning medium. 
     
     
         6 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said first tank comprises a fill orifice in said housing. 
     
     
         7 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said vacuum hose comprises a fixed vacuum hose portion mounted in said portal and attached to said vacuum pump, and a flexible vacuum hose portion detachably connected to said fixed vacuum hose portion. 
     
     
         8 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said second tank comprises a drain orifice in said housing. 
     
     
         9 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein the pressurized vacuum cleaning system comprises a plurality of said head assemblies, wherein each of said head assemblies is detachably connected to said spray line and said vacuum hose and comprises a different type of said cleaning structure. 
     
     
         10 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 9 , wherein said cleaning structures of said head assemblies comprise a brush, a crevice cleaner projection, and a wiper blade. 
     
     
         11 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 10 , wherein said spray head is attached to said vacuum head and configured to spray cleaning medium adjacent said vacuum head. 
     
     
         12 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said control arrangement is configured to permit a user to selectively activate said vacuum pump. 
     
     
         13 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 1 , wherein said control arrangement comprises a spray switch mounted in said head assembly and operatively connected to said spray pump to permit a user to selectively activate said spray pump to dispense said cleaning medium. 
     
     
         14 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 13 , wherein said control arrangement comprises an electronic control unit mounted in said housing and operatively connected to said vacuum pump, said spray pump, and said spray switch. 
     
     
         15 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 14 , wherein said control arrangement further comprises flexible wiring attached to said vacuum hose and connecting said electronic control unit to said spray switch. 
     
     
         16 . The pressurized vacuum cleaning system of  claim 14 , wherein said control arrangement comprises a control panel mounted on said housing and operatively connected to said electronic control unit. 
     
     
         20 . A pressurized vacuum cleaning system comprising:
 a housing configured to contain components therein and comprising a portal therein, wherein said housing comprises a handle being extendable and retractable, and wherein said housing comprises a set of wheels;   a spray pump and a spray line connected thereto and extending out through said portal, wherein said spray line comprises a fixed spray line portion mounted in said portal and attached to said spray pump, and a flexible spray line portion detachably connected to said fixed spray line portion;   a first tank connected to said spray pump and containing a supply of cleaning medium, wherein said first tank comprises a heating element configured to heat said cleaning medium, and wherein said first tank comprises a fill orifice in said housing;   a vacuum pump and a vacuum hose connected thereto and extending out through said portal, wherein said vacuum hose comprises a fixed vacuum hose portion mounted in said portal and attached to said vacuum pump, and a flexible vacuum hose portion detachably connected to said fixed vacuum hose portion;   a second tank connected to said vacuum pump and configured to contain waste materials and used cleaning medium, wherein said second tank comprises a drain orifice in said housing;   a head assembly configured to be held in one hand by a user and comprising a spray head connected to said spray line to dispense cleaning medium under pressure, a vacuum head connected to said vacuum hose to suction waste materials and used cleaning medium, and a cleaning structure, wherein:
 the pressurized vacuum cleaning system comprises a plurality of said head assemblies, wherein each of said head assemblies is detachably connected to said spray line and said vacuum hose and comprises a different type of said cleaning structure, 
 said cleaning structures of said head assemblies comprise a brush, a crevice cleaner projection, and a wiper blade, 
 said spray head is attached to said vacuum head and configured to spray cleaning medium adjacent said vacuum head; and 
   a control arrangement configured to permit a user to selectively activate said spray pump to dispense said cleaning medium, wherein:
 said control arrangement is configured to permit a user to selectively activate said vacuum pump, 
 said control arrangement comprises a spray switch mounted in said head assembly and operatively connected to said spray pump to permit a user to selectively activate said spray pump to dispense said cleaning medium, wherein:
 said control arrangement comprises an electronic control unit mounted in said housing and operatively connected to said vacuum pump, said spray pump, and said spray switch, 
 said control arrangement further comprises flexible wiring attached to said vacuum hose and connecting said electronic control unit to said spray switch, 
 said control arrangement comprises a control panel mounted on said housing and operatively connected to said electronic control unit.
