Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a secondary cell group (SCG) deactivation command indicating that an SCG associated with the UE is deactivated. The UE may perform an action associated with a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity and a split radio bearer associated with the SCG based at least in part on receiving the SCG deactivation command. Numerous other aspects are described.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
communicating on a split radio bearer associated with a primary cell group (PCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG); receiving, via radio resource control (RRC) signaling, an indication of deactivation for the SCG associated with the split radio bearer; maintaining the split radio bearer after receiving the indication of deactivation of the SCG or while the SCG is deactivated; and retransmitting a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) protocol data unit (PDU) through the PCG associated with the split radio bearer, wherein the PDU is previously transmitted through the SCG and has not been acknowledged.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the split radio bearer is not released in response to the receiving of the indication of deactivation for the SCG.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the SCG is configured as a primary path of the split radio bearer before the receiving of the indication of deactivation for the SCG.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein data submission is switched to the PCG after the receiving of the indication of deactivation for the SCG.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining whether a size of a transmit buffer exceeds a data split threshold associated with the split radio bearer.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the split radio bearer is an uplink split data radio bearer (DRB).
7 . An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
a memory; and one or more processors, coupled to the memory, configured to: communicate on a split radio bearer associated with a primary cell group (PCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG); receive, via radio resource control (RRC) signaling, an indication of deactivation for the SCG associated with the split radio bearer; maintain the split radio bearer after receiving the indication of deactivation of the SCG or while the SCG is deactivated; and retransmit a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) protocol data unit (PDU) through the PCG associated with the split radio bearer, wherein the PDU is previously transmitted through the SCG and has not been acknowledged.
8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the split radio bearer is not released in response to the receiving of the indication of deactivation for the SCG.
9 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the SCG is configured as a primary path of the split radio bearer before the receiving of the indication of deactivation for the SCG.
10 . The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein data submission is switched to the PCG after the receiving of the indication of deactivation for the SCG.
11 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:
determine whether a size of a transmit buffer exceeds a data split threshold associated with the split radio bearer.
12 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the split radio bearer is an uplink split data radio bearer (DRB).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
