System and Method for a Curved Dice Toss Game

Abstract

A dice toss game and method utilizing a curved target board and soft silicone dice is disclosed. The game apparatus comprises a plurality of cubic silicone dice having a Shore OO durometer hardness between 20-40, and a curved plastic target board with a concave upper surface, center aperture, and foldable support legs. The method involves two teams alternating offense and defense play rounds, with the offensive team tossing dice at the board to score points based on the outcome, and the defensive team attempting to catch the dice. The curved board and soft dice provide unique targeting challenges and gameplay mechanics.

         20 . A tossing game comprising:
 a curved target board having a concave upper surface with a center aperture, and at least one game projectile.   
     
     
         21 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the target board is supported by one or more foldable legs. 
     
     
         22 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the projectile has a predetermined shore  00  hardness durometer between 20-40. 
     
     
         23 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the target board is divided into at least two sections allow transformation to facilitate portability and/or storage. 
     
     
         24 . The tossing game of  claim 23 , wherein the target board has one or more hinges. 
     
     
         25 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein at least one game projectile is in the form a 6 sided game die. 
     
     
         26 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the curved target board is constructed of laminated wood. 
     
     
         27 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the curved target board is constructed of one or more injection molded plastic components. 
     
     
         28 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the curved target board is an assembly of a combination of materials including plastic, wood, metal, or fabric. 
     
     
         29 . A method, comprising utilizing the tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein during play the target board is oriented such that the at least one projectile enters the center aperture in a direction perpendicular to the ground. 
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein teams alternate turns tossing the projectile(s) to achieve one or more of the following:
 Missing the target board   Contacting the target board   Passing a die through the center aperture.   
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein a second team alternates in a defensive roll attempting to catch the projectiles(s) tossed by a first team. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the offensive team is awarded 0 points for a die toss that misses the target board, 0 point for a die that contacts the target board but is caught by the defensive team, 1 points for a die that contacts the target board and is not caught by the defensive team, and 3 points for a die that passes through the center aperture of the target board. 
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein each player on offense is awarded an extra shot for scoring and they shoot until they don't get a point on their shot. 
     
     
         34 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein each team has up to 4 players, with players alternating turns tossing the dice during their team's offensive round. 
     
     
         35 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein silicone dice belonging to the offensive team and defensive team each have a different color to help visually distinguish the dice during game play. 
     
     
         36 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the curved target board has a concave upper surface with a radius of curvature between 6 inches and 100 inches. 
     
     
         37 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the predetermined winning score is 11 or 21 points. 
     
     
         38 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the curved target board has a concave upper surface center aperture has a diameter ranging between 3-5 inches. 
     
     
         39 . The tossing game of  claim 20 , wherein the ends of the board are coated with a rubber material to provide enhanced gripping.
