Abstract
A divot repair tool comprising a base, one or more prongs, a cutting tool, a bolt, a nut, and at least one elastic element. The prong(s) extend(s) upward from an upper surface of the base. The cutting tool includes a blade with a curved cutting edge extending from the lower surface of the base. The bolt is joined to the base, extends below the base and below the cutting tool, and has a thread length. The nut has an inner thread cooperating with the thread length of the bolt, and is sized to contact the inner wall of a hollow shaft of a golf club. The elastic element is traversable by the bolt, and is configured to be placed around the bolt between the nut and the cutting edge of the cutting tool. The elastic element expands radially when compressed longitudinally between the nut and the cutting tool.

1 . A divot repair tool comprising:
a base having an upper surface and a lower surface; one or more prongs joined to the base and extending upward from the upper surface of the base, the one or more prongs being configured for repairing a grass playing surface; a cutting tool comprising a blade with a curved cutting edge, the cutting tool extending downwards from the lower surface of the base, the cutting tool being configured to cut a through a top section of a grip covering a top of a hollow shaft of a golf club, in order to provide access to an inner cavity of the hollow shaft; a bolt removably joined to the base, the bolt having a segment extending below the base and below the cutting tool when joined to the base, the bolt having a thread length in the segment; a nut having an inner thread configured to cooperate with the thread length of the bolt and sized to contact an inner wall of the hollow shaft of the golf club; at least one elastic element having an opening for being traversed by the bolt, the at least one elastic element being configured to be placed around the bolt between the nut and the cutting edge at a bottom of the cutting tool, wherein the at least one elastic element is configured to expand radially when compressed longitudinally between the nut and the cutting tool.
2 . The divot repair tool of claim 1 , wherein:
the base has a channel with openings at the upper surface and the lower surface; the thread length is configured to traverse the channel.
3 . The divot repair tool claim 2 , wherein:
the channel has an upper portion with a first opening at the upper surface and having a first latitudinal dimension; the channel has a lower portion with a second opening at the lower surface and having a second latitudinal dimension, wherein the second latitudinal dimension is smaller than the first latitudinal dimension; the bolt has a head, wherein the head is sized to fit into the upper portion of the channel and prevented from traversing the lower portion of the channel.
4 . The divot repair tool of claim 3 , wherein the head has a drive for cooperating with a fastening tool to enable the fastening tool to turn the bolt about a longitudinal axis thereof.
5 . The divot repair tool of claim 1 , wherein the at least one elastic element comprises:
a first elastic element configured to be traversed by the bolt and contact the cutting edge of the cutting tool; a spacer configured to be traversed by the bolt and contact a bottom of the first elastic element; and a second elastic element configured to be traversed by the bolt and to be located between the spacer and the nut; wherein the first elastic element and the second elastic element are configured to expand radially when compressed longitudinally.
6 . The divot repair tool of claim 1 , wherein the cutting tool comprises a cylindrical portion having threading on an outer wall thereof.
7 . The divot repair tool of claim 1 , wherein the curved blade comprises a cylindrical blade.
8 . The divot repair tool of claim 1 , wherein the curved blade comprises:
a hollow cylindrical portion extending downward from the lower surface of the base; and a hollow frusto-conical blade extending downward from a lower edge of the hollow cylindrical portion.
9 . The divot repair tool of claim 1 , wherein the curved blade comprises at least two curved blades having a same center of curvature.
10 . The divot repair tool of claim 1 , comprising a cap configured to be removably joined to the base to selectively cover the one or more prongs.
11 . The divot repair tool of claim 10 , wherein the base and the cap are cylindrical.
12 . The divot repair tool of claim 11 , wherein:
the base has:
an circumferential indentation on a curved surface thereof below the upper surface and above the lower surface, the circumferential indentation having a first end and a second end; and
a longitudinal notch extending from the first end of end of the circumferential indentation to the upper surface;
the cap comprises an extension extending radially inwards from an curved inner wall of the cap; the cap being configured to be joined to the base by being pushed onto the base, such the extension enters the longitudinal notch, and to be rotated, such that the extension is moves along the circumferential notch toward the second end.
13 . The divot repair tool of claim 12 , comprising a protrusion located in the circumferential indentation extending radially outward.
14 . A divot repair tool comprising:
a base having an upper surface and a lower surface; one or more prongs joined to the base and extending upward from the upper surface of the base, the one or more prongs being configured for repairing a grass playing surface; a cylindrical extension extending downward from the lower surface of the base, the cylindrical extension having a threaded outer wall.
15 . The divot repair tool of claim 14 , comprising a cap configured to be removably joined to the base to selectively cover the one or more prongs.
16 . The divot repair tool of claim 15 , wherein the base and the cap are cylindrical.
17 . The divot repair tool of claim 16 , wherein:
the base has:
an circumferential indentation on a curved surface thereof below the upper surface and above the lower surface, the circumferential indentation having a first end and a second end; and
a longitudinal notch extending from the first end of end of the circumferential indentation to the upper surface;
the cap comprises an extension extending radially inwards from an curved inner wall of the cap; the cap being configured to be joined to the base by being pushed onto the base, such the extension enters the longitudinal notch, and to be rotated, such that the extension is moved along the circumferential notch toward the second end.
