Abstract

A composite inflatable mattress includes a bottom layer, an air cushion layer and an air pressure adjustment unit. The bottom layer defines a bottom space. The air cushion layer is disposed on the bottom layer and includes an outer casing, and a partition plate disposed in the outer casing and cooperating with the outer casing to define two air chambers thereamong. The air pressure adjustment unit is mounted to the bottom layer and the air cushion layer, and includes an inflation mechanism mounted to the air cushion layer and in spatial communication with the two air chambers, an air pump motor mounted in the bottom space and in spatial communication with the inflation mechanism, and two pressure relief valves mounted to the outer casing and in spatial communication respectively with the two air chambers.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A composite inflatable mattress, comprising:
a bottom layer that defines a bottom space; an air cushion layer that is disposed on said bottom layer and that includes
 an outer casing, and
a partition plate disposed in said outer casing and cooperating with said outer casing to define two air chambers thereamong; and
an air pressure adjustment unit that is mounted to said bottom layer and said air cushion layer, and that includes
an inflation mechanism mounted to said air cushion layer and in spatial communication with said two air chambers,
an air pump motor mounted in said bottom space and in spatial communication with said inflation mechanism, and
two pressure relief valves mounted to said outer casing and in spatial communication respectively with said two air chambers.

2 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said air cushion layer further includes a plurality of support plates that are evenly disposed in said two air chambers and that are connected to said outer casing.

3 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 2 , wherein:
said plurality of support plates are parallel to said partition plate; and each of said plurality of support plates has upper and lower sides connected to said outer casing.

4 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 2 , wherein:
said plurality of support plates extend transverse to said partition plate; and each of said plurality of support plates has upper and lower sides connected to said outer casing.

5 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 4 , wherein each of said plurality of support plates has two notches formed respectively at said upper and lower sides thereof.

6 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 1 , wherein:
 said inflation mechanism includes
an inflation tube in spatial communication with said air pump motor,
two splitter pipes in spatial communication with said inflation tube, and
a steel ball plug disposed at a junction among said two splitter pipes and said inflation tube; and
said steel ball plug has an outer diameter greater than an inner diameter of each of said inflation tube and said two splitter pipes, and is movable relative to said junction, such that said inflation tube and said two splitter pipes are not in spatial communication with each other when said steel ball plug moves toward said junction and completely blocks said junction, and that said inflation tube and said two splitter pipes are in spatial communication with each other when said steel ball plug moves away from said junction.

7 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said inflation mechanism further includes:
a plug tube that is in spatial communication with said inflation tube and said two splitter pipes; a cap that is connected fixedly to one side of said plug tube that is opposite to said inflation tube; and a biasing member that is disposed in said plug tube, that has two opposite ends respectively abutting against said steel ball plug and said cap, and that biases said steel ball plug toward said junction.

8 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said air pressure adjustment unit further includes:
a switch electrically connected to said air pump motor and mounted to said bottom layer; and a barometer unit electrically connected to said air pump motor and in spatial communication with said two air chambers.

9 . The composite inflatable mattress as claimed in claim 1 , wherein:
said composite inflatable mattress further comprises a latex layer disposed on said air cushion layer, a comfort layer disposed on said latex layer, and a surface layer disposed on said comfort layer.
