Abstract

Provided is an aerosol generating device including a housing including an accommodation portion into which an aerosol generating article is inserted, a heater arranged on one surface of a film and configured to heat the aerosol generating article when power is supplied thereto, a humistor sensor arranged on the one surface of the film and configured to detect humidity of the aerosol generating article, and a processor electrically connected to the heater and the humistor sensor, wherein the processor is configured to control power supply to the heater, based on the humidity of the aerosol generating article detected by the humistor sensor.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1 . An aerosol generating device comprising:
a housing including an accommodation portion into which an aerosol generating article is inserted; a heater arranged on one surface of a film and configured to heat the aerosol generating article when power is supplied thereto; a humistor sensor arranged on the one surface of the film and configured to detect humidity of the aerosol generating article; and a processor electrically connected to the heater and the humistor sensor, wherein the processor is configured to control power supply to the heater, based on the humidity of the aerosol generating article detected by the humistor sensor.

2 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the film is located in an inner space of the housing and surrounds the aerosol generating article inserted through the accommodation portion.

3 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the aerosol generating article includes:
a medium portion including a tobacco material; and a filter portion, wherein the humistor sensor surrounds the filter portion, and the heater surrounds the medium portion.

4 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the humistor sensor includes:
a first humistor sensor arranged in a first portion of the film and spaced apart from the heater in a first direction; and a second humistor sensor arranged in a second portion of the film and spaced apart from the heater in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction.

5 . The aerosol generating device of claim 4 , wherein the aerosol generating article includes:
a front-end plug including a hollow through which outside air is introduced into the aerosol generating article; a medium portion including a tobacco material; and a filter portion arranged at a location facing the front-end plug with the medium portion therebetween, wherein the first humistor sensor surrounds the front-end plug, the heater surrounds the medium portion, and the second humistor sensor surrounds the filter portion.

6 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the humistor sensor and the heater are arranged on the one surface of the film so as not to overlap each other.

7 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the humistor sensor includes a first electrode and a second electrode each having a comb shape.

8 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the humistor sensor is one of a resistive sensor, a capacitive sensor, and a heat-conductive sensor.

9 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the film is formed into a cylindrical shape having an inner hollow.

10 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the aerosol generating article includes:
a medium portion including a tobacco material; and a filter portion including a moisture-sensitive material, wherein the humistor sensor is further configured to detect humidity of the moisture-sensitive material included in the filter portion.

11 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the film includes polyimide.

12 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
when the detected humidity of the aerosol generating article is within a preset range, supply power to the heater, based on a first temperature profile; and when the detected humidity of the aerosol generating article is below or above the preset range, supply power to the heater, based on a second temperature profile that is different from the first temperature profile.

13 . The aerosol generating device of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:
when the detected humidity of the aerosol generating article is within a preset range, supply power to the heater; and when the detected humidity of the aerosol generating article is below or above the preset range, cut off the power supply to the heater.
