Abstract
A garment adjustment system includes a first connective element removably fastened to a garment by at least a first fastener affixed to the garment in a first location. A second connective element is removably fastened to the garment by at least a second fastener affixed to the garment in a second location. A linking component is linked to the first connective element and the second connective element such that adjustment of the linking component changes a distance between the first location and the second location of the garment.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A garment adjustment system comprising:
a first connective element comprising a first plurality of fastening features, wherein the first plurality of fastening features are configured to couple with a first plurality of fasteners of a garment to removably connect the first connective element to the garment in a first location; a second connective element comprising a second plurality of fastening features, wherein the second plurality of fastening features are configured to couple with a second plurality of fasteners of the garment to removably connect the second connective element to the garment in a second location; and a plurality of linking components extending between the first connective element and the second connective element, wherein each linking component comprises an adjuster to vary a length of the respective linking component to change a distance between the first connective element and the second connective element.
2 . The garment adjustment system of claim 1 , wherein:
the first connective element comprises a first plurality of linking features; the second connective element comprises a second plurality of linking features; and each linking component is coupled to a respective one of the first plurality of linking features and to a respective one of the second plurality of linking features.
3 . The garment adjustment system of claim 2 , wherein the first plurality of linking features and the second plurality of linking features are formed as loops.
4 . The garment adjustment system of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of linking components comprises individual cords connected to respective linking features of the first plurality of linking features and the second plurality of linking features.
5 . The garment adjustment system of claim 1 , wherein each adjuster is a same adjuster.
6 . The garment adjustment system of claim 1 , wherein the first plurality of fastening features and the second plurality of fastening features comprise apertures each configured to receive a button.
7 . The garment adjustment system of claim 1 , wherein the first plurality of fastening features and the second plurality of fastening features comprise snap features.
8 . The garment adjustment system of claim 1 , wherein the first plurality of fastening features and the second plurality of fastening features comprise half of a hook and loop closure.
9 . A garment comprising the garment adjustment system of claim 1 , wherein the garment comprises the first plurality of fasteners and the second plurality of fasteners.
10 . The garment of claim 9 , wherein the first location is a line formed by the first plurality of fasteners, and wherein the second location is a line formed by the second plurality of fasteners.
11 . A garment comprising:
a first plurality of fasteners attached at a first location; a second plurality of fasteners attached at a second location; a first connective element comprising a first plurality of fastening features removably coupled to the first plurality of fasteners; a second connective element comprising a second plurality of fastening features removably coupled to the second plurality of fasteners; a first linking component extending between the first connective element and the second connective element, the first linking component comprising a first adjuster to vary a first length of the first linking component to change a first distance between the first connective element and the second connective element; a second linking component extending between the first connective element and the second connective element, the second linking component comprising a second adjuster to vary a second length of the second linking component to change a second distance between the first connective element and the second connective element.
12 . The garment of claim 11 , wherein:
the first connective element comprises a first linking feature and a second linking feature; the second connective element comprises a third linking feature and a fourth linking feature; the first linking component is attached to the first linking feature and the third linking feature; and the second linking component is attached to the second linking feature and the fourth linking feature.
13 . The garment of claim 12 , wherein the first linking component is fixedly connected to the first linking feature and the second linking feature, and wherein the second linking component is fixedly connected to the third linking feature and the fourth linking feature.
14 . The garment of claim 12 , wherein the first linking component is removably connected to the first linking feature and the second linking feature, and wherein the second linking component is removably connected to the third linking feature and the fourth linking feature.
15 . The garment of claim 12 , wherein each of the first, second, third, and fourth linking feature is a fabric loop or a plastic ring.
16 . The garment of claim 11 , further comprising a third linking component extending between the first connective element and the second connective element, the third linking component comprising a third adjuster to vary a third length of the third linking component to change a third distance between the first connective element and the second connective element.
17 . The garment of claim 16 , further comprising a fourth linking component extending between the first connective element and the second connective element, the fourth linking component comprising a fourth adjuster to vary a fourth length of the fourth linking component to change a fourth distance between the first connective element and the second connective element.
18 . The garment of claim 11 , wherein the first adjuster and the second adjuster are spring adjusters.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
