Abstract

A cassette unit is provided and comprises i) a supply roller, ii) a receiving roller, iii) a dispensing edge, and iv) a dispenser material strip comprising a multiplicity of adhesive elements arranged on a strip-type separation material, wherein the dispenser material strip is partially wound on the supply roller and fastened at one end to the receiving roller, the strip-type separation material is guided around the dispensing edge, between the supply roller and the receiving roller with respect to the strip direction, the strip-type separation material is guided around the receiving roller, or around the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, in front of the dispensing edge with respect to the strip direction, such that the receiving roller, or the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, acts as a deflection element for deflecting the dispenser material strip.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A cassette unit for use in application systems for the application of adhesive elements, the cassette unit comprising:
 i) a supply roller; ii) a receiving roller; iii) a dispensing edge; and iv) a dispenser material strip comprising a multiplicity of adhesive elements arranged on a strip-type separation material, wherein
the dispenser material strip is partially wound on the supply roller and fastened at one end to the receiving roller,
the strip-type separation material is guided around the dispensing edge, between the supply roller and the receiving roller with respect to the strip direction, and
the strip-type separation material is guided around the receiving roller, or around the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, in front of the dispensing edge with respect to the strip direction, such that the receiving roller, or the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, acts as a deflection element for deflecting the dispenser material strip.

2 . The cassette unit of claim 1 , the cassette unit is free of any further deflection elements for deflecting the dispenser material strip that deflect the dispenser material strip by more than 30° between the supply roller and the dispensing edge with respect to the strip direction.

3 . The cassette unit of claim 1 , the cassette unit is free of any further guide elements for guiding the dispenser material strip that contact the dispenser material strip between the supply roller and the dispensing edge with respect to the strip direction.

4 . The cassette unit of claim 1 , wherein the supply roller, without the dispenser material strip, has a roller diameter D Z in the range of from 10 to 30 cm.

5 . The cassette unit of claim 1 , wherein the receiving roller, without the strip-type separation material, has a roller diameter D A in the range of from 5 to 30 cm.

6 . The cassette unit of claim 1 , wherein the receiving roller, without the strip-type separation material, has a roller diameter D A in the range of from 0.4*D Z to 1.6*D Z , wherein D Z is the roller diameter of the supply roller without the dispenser material strip.

7 . The cassette unit of claim 1 , wherein the cassette unit is adapted or configured such that a rotation of the receiving roller for winding up the strip-type separation material, freed from adhesive elements at the dispensing edge, is effected such that the direction of rotation in the region of contact with the guided-around strip-type separation material coincides with a direction of conveyance of the strip-type separation material.

8 . An application system for the application of adhesive elements, the application system comprising:
 I) an application device, II) a cassette receiver having at least one drive unit, and III) the cassette unit according to claim 1 arranged in the cassette receiver, Wherein the application system is configured, by use of the drive unit, to cause the dispenser material strip to be guided through the cassette unit arranged in the cassette receiver, such that the dispenser material strip is guided in front of the dispensing edge around the receiving roller, or around the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, such that the receiving roller, or the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, acts as a deflection element for deflecting the dispenser material strip, and such that the dispenser material strip is then guided around the dispensing edge such that the adhesive elements are separated from the separation material and discharged from the cassette unit.

9 . The application system of claim 8 , further comprising means for determining the radius of the supply roller and/or the radius of the receiving roller.

10 . A method for operating the application system according to claim 8 , the method comprising:
 a) guiding the dispenser material strip through the cassette unit arranged in the cassette receiver, wherein
the dispenser material strip is guided around the receiving roller, or around the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, in front of the dispensing edge, such that the receiving roller, or the part of the strip-type separation material wound on the receiving roller, acts as a deflection element for deflecting the dispenser material strip, and
the dispenser material strip is guided around the dispensing edge such that the adhesive elements are separated from the separation material and discharged from the cassette unit; and
   b) applying, by means of the application device, the adhesive elements discharged from the cassette unit.
