Ponytail extension device

Abstract

A ponytail extension device is disclosed, comprising a weft with a first length of material and a first portion of hair strands connected to the first length. A second length of material extends from the weft, with a first side having a first surface and a second side with a second surface, and a first end connected to the weft. The second length of material features a first portion of hook and loop attachments disposed at its surface and a second portion of hair strands connected to it. What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A ponytail extension device, comprising:
 a weft, comprising;
 a first length of material; and 
 a first portion of a plurality of hair strands having an end connected to the first length of material; 
   a second length of material to protrude from an end of the weft, and
 wherein the second length of material has a first side with a first surface located opposite a second side with a second surface, and 
 wherein the second length of material has a first end located opposite a second end, and 
 wherein the second end of the second length of material is connected to the weft; 
   a plurality of hook and loop attachments disposed at one or more surfaces of the second length of material; and   a second portion of a plurality of hair strands having an end connected to the second length of material.   
     
     
         2 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 one or more combs connected to the weft.   
     
     
         3 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a flexible loop of material connected to the weft.   
     
     
         4 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 3 , wherein the flexible loop of material is located opposite the second portion of the plurality of hair strands. 
     
     
         5 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 3 , wherein the end of the second portion of the plurality of hair strands is connected to the first end of the second length of material. 
     
     
         6 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of hook and loop attachments comprising:
 a first portion of hooks; and   a second portion of loops.   
     
     
         7 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 5 , wherein the first portion of hooks is disposed at the first surface of the first side of the second length of material, and
 wherein the second portion of loops is disposed at a surface of the weft located opposite the first portion of hooks.   
     
     
         8 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 1 , wherein the weft is a resilient material. 
     
     
         9 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 1 , wherein the second length of material is a resilient material. 
     
     
         10 . The ponytail extension device of  claim 1 , wherein the second portion of the plurality of hair strands having an end connected to a first end the second length of material. 
     
     
         11 . A removable hair piece, comprising:
 a weft, comprising;
 a first length of material; and 
 a first portion of a plurality of hair strands having an end connected to the first length of material; 
   a second length of material with a first end located opposite a second end and connected to the weft;   a plurality of hook and loop attachments disposed at a surface of the second length of material; and   a second portion of a plurality of hair strands having an end connected to the second length of material.   
     
     
         12 . The removable hair piece of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 one or more combs connected to the weft.   
     
     
         13 . The removable hair piece of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 a removable fastener to connect to the second portion of the plurality of hair strands.   
     
     
         14 . The removable hair piece of  claim 13 , wherein the removable fastener is a pin. 
     
     
         15 . The removable hair piece of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 a flexible loop of material connected to the weft.   
     
     
         16 . The removable hair piece of  claim 15 , wherein the flexible loop of material is located opposite the second portion of the plurality of hair strands. 
     
     
         17 . The removable hair piece of  claim 11 , wherein the end of the second portion of the plurality of hair strands is connected to the first end of the second length of material. 
     
     
         18 . The removable hair piece of  claim 11 , wherein the plurality of hook and loop attachments comprising:
 a first portion of hooks; and   a second portion of loops.   
     
     
         19 . The removable hair piece of  claim 18 , wherein the first portion of hooks is oriented adjacent to the second portion of loops. 
     
     
         20 . A method for implementing a removable hair piece, comprising:
 providing the removable hair piece comprising:
 a weft, comprising;
 a first length of material; and 
 a first portion of a plurality of hair strands having an end connected to the first length of material; 
 
 a second length of material with a first end located opposite a second end and connected to the weft; 
 a plurality of hook and loop attachments disposed at a surface of the second length of material, and
 wherein the plurality of hook and loop attachments comprising:
 a first portion of hooks; and 
 a second portion of loops; 
 
 
 a second portion of a plurality of hair strands having an end connected to the second length of material; 
 a flexible loop of material connected to the weft; and 
 one or more combs connected to the weft; 
   collecting at least a portion of a user's hair into a pony tail;   securing a base of the pony tail with the flexible loop of material;   wrapping the first length of material around the flexible loop of material;   inserting the one or more combs into the base of the pony tail;   connecting the first portion of the hooks and the second portion of the loops;   wrapping the second length of material around at least a portion of the first length of material;   wrapping the second portion of a plurality of hair strands around the base of the pony tail; and   securing the second portion of the plurality of hair strands with a fastener.
