Abstract

A fender includes a body having a first surface and a second surface, opposite the first surface. The body is repositionable in a plurality of configurations. The fender includes at least one sleeve disposed on the first surface. The at least one sleeve is configured to receive a member. In a first configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body extends in a lateral direction such that the body defines a relatively flat configuration. In a second configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body is collapsed upon itself such that the body forms a polyhedron shape.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A fender, comprising:
 a body having a first surface and a second surface, opposite the first surface, the body repositionable in a plurality of configurations; and   at least one sleeve disposed on the first surface, the at least one sleeve configured to receive a member;   wherein, in a first configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body extends in a lateral direction such that the body defines a relatively flat configuration; and   wherein, in a second configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body is collapsed upon itself such that the body forms a polyhedron shape.   
     
     
         2 . The fender of  claim 1 , wherein the polyhedron shape is a triangular prism shape. 
     
     
         3 . The fender of  claim 1 , wherein, in a third configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body is folded upon itself such that a first portion of the first surface faces a second portion of the first surface, and the member is positioned between the first portion and the second portion. 
     
     
         4 . The fender of  claim 3 , further comprising a shell comprising an open end, a closed end, and a retention member, the shell configured to receive the body in the third configuration through the open end, and the retention member is configured to at least partly close the open end to retain the body in the shell. 
     
     
         5 . The fender of  claim 1 , further comprising a first retention member positioned at a first side of the body and a second retention member positioned between the first side of the body and the at least one sleeve, the first retention member engaging the second retention member when the body is in the second configuration, a portion of the body between the first retention member and the second retention member defining a gap when the first retention member engages the second retention member, the gap sized to receive a marine line therein. 
     
     
         6 . The fender of  claim 1 , further comprising a shell having an inner surface, an outer surface, a first retention member positioned in the inner surface, and a second retention member positioned on the outer surface, the shell wrapped around the second surface of the body when the body is in the second configuration, such that the first retention member engages the second retention member. 
     
     
         7 . The fender of  claim 1 , further comprising an endcap having a first side facing the body and a second side facing away from the body, the endcap positioned at a first end of the body when the body is in the second configuration. 
     
     
         8 . The fender of  claim 7 , wherein the endcap includes one or more feet extending from the second side of the endcap, away from the body, each of the one or more feet defining a cavity. 
     
     
         9 . The fender of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one sleeve has a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a corresponding strap positioned at and at least partially closing off the second end. 
     
     
         10 . The fender of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one sleeve includes a first portion coupled to the first surface of the body and a second portion coupled to the first surface of the body and spaced away from the first portion. 
     
     
         11 . A marine fender comprising:
 a body having a first surface and a second surface, the body repositionable in a plurality of configurations; and   a plurality of tubes coupled to the body;   wherein, in a first configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body extends in a lateral direction such that the plurality of tubes are aligned on the first surface of the body in a relatively flat orientation;   wherein, in a second configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body is rolled inwards towards the first surface such that at least two tubes of the plurality of tubes are stacked on each other.   
     
     
         12 . The marine fender of  claim 11 , wherein in the second configuration, the plurality of tubes are arranged in a triangular prism shape. 
     
     
         13 . The marine fender of  claim 11 , wherein in a third configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body is folded upon itself such that:
 a first portion of the first surface faces a second portion of the first surface,   a third portion of the first surface faces the first portion of the first surface,   a first set of the plurality of tubes is positioned between the first portion and the second portion, and   a second set of the plurality of tubes is positioned between the first portion and the third portion.   
     
     
         14 . The marine fender of  claim 11 , wherein the body includes:
 a first grommet positioned proximate a first lateral side and a first end of the body, the first grommet configured to receive a first marine line therethrough; and   a second grommet positioned proximate a second lateral side, opposite the first lateral side, and the first end of the body, the second grommet configured to receive a second marine line therethrough.   
     
     
         15 . The marine fender of  claim 14 , further comprising one or more pockets coupled to the body proximate a second end of the body, opposite the first end, each of the one or more pockets sized to receive a disc therein. 
     
     
         16 . The marine fender of  claim 11 , further comprising an endcap positioned at a first end of the body when the body is in the second configuration, the endcap comprising:
 a first endcap surface facing the body;   a second endcap surface facing away from the body; and   a foot extending from the second endcap surface away from the body, the foot defining a cavity configured to receive a disc therein;   wherein the endcap defines an opening therethrough, the opening sized to receive a line therethrough.   
     
     
         17 . The marine fender of  claim 11 , further comprising a coupling member positioned along a first end of the body, the coupling member configured to engage a body of a second marine fender. 
     
     
         18 . A method comprising:
 providing a marine fender including a body and at least one member coupled to a first surface of the body, wherein the body is provided in at least one configuration of a plurality of configurations, wherein:
 in a first configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body extends in a lateral direction such that the body defines a relatively flat configuration; 
 in a second configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body is collapsed upon itself such that the body forms a polyhedron shape; and 
 in a third configuration of the plurality of configurations, the body is folded upon itself such that a first portion of the first surface faces a second portion of the first surface, and the at least one member is positioned between the first portion and the second portion. 
   
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , further comprising:
 providing a line through a gap defined by a portion of the body, wherein the body is provided in the second configuration after providing the line, such that the line is positioned in a channel defined by the at least one member;   providing a shell around the body when the body is in the second configuration; and   providing an endcap coupled to the body at a first end of the body, the endcap defining a endcap opening that is configured to receive the line when the endcap is positioned at the first end of the body.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 18 , further comprising:
 providing a shell configured to receive the body in the third configuration, the shell having an open end configured to receive the body therethrough.
