Magnetic and Customizable Charm-Jewelry System

Abstract

A customizable and user-friendly magnetic charm jewelry system is provided. The magnetic charm jewelry system is a device that enables users to easily interchange charms within different types of jewelry. To accomplish this, the device uses magnets to detach and attach charms with ease. In other words, the device is a simple, modular system that allows interchangeable, charm-like adornments, in any shape and style, to attach to a corresponding receptacle via identical magnets that have been placed on a planar surface of the charm and the corresponding receptacle. Further, the device may be extended to different kinds of accessories and jewelry that can hold interchangeable adornments. Additionally, different attachments may be integrated onto the sides of the receptacles as well as on top of the charms to increase the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the jewelry or accessory.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system comprising:
 at least one charm-arrangement unit;   the at least one charm-arrangement unit comprising a receptacle portion and a charm portion;   the receptacle portion comprising a receptacle base, a receptacle magnet, and a receptacle-magnet aperture;   the charm portion comprising a charm magnet, a charm aperture, a charm body, and a charm protrusion;   the receptacle base comprising a first base surface and a second base surface;   the charm body comprising a first body surface and a second body surface;   the first base surface being positioned opposite the second base surface about the receptacle base;   the first body surface being positioned opposite to the second body surface about the charm body;   the receptacle magnet being connected onto the first base surface;   the receptacle-magnet aperture centrally traversing through the receptacle magnet;   the charm protrusion being centrally connected onto the second body surface;   the charm aperture centrally traversing through the charm magnet;   the charm protrusion being positioned through the charm aperture;   the charm magnet being connected onto the second body surface around the charm protrusion;   the charm body, the charm magnet, and the charm protrusion being positioned into the receptacle portion;   the charm protrusion being further positioned through the receptacle-magnet aperture; and   the charm magnet being magnetically attached onto the receptacle magnet.   
     
     
         2 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 1  comprising:
 the receptacle portion further comprising a receptacle-base aperture; 
 the receptacle-base aperture centrally traversing from the first base surface, through the receptacle base, and out of the second base surface; and 
 the charm protrusion being further positioned into the receptacle-base aperture. 
 
     
     
         3 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 2 , wherein the charm portion is configured to be detached from the receptacle portion by pushing on the charm portion through the receptacle-base aperture. 
     
     
         4 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 2 , wherein a transversal cross section of the charm protrusion and a transversal cross section of the receptacle-base aperture are coextensive with each other, and wherein at least one flat lateral edge for the transversal cross section of the charm protrusion is positioned parallel against at least one flat lateral edge of the transversal cross section of the receptacle-base aperture. 
     
     
         5 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 1  comprising:
 a jewelry body; and 
 the receptacle base being integrated into the jewelry body. 
 
     
     
         6 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 5  comprising:
 the at least one charm-arrangement unit being a plurality of charm-arrangement units; and 
 the plurality of charm-arrangement units being distributed about the jewelry body. 
 
     
     
         7 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 6 , wherein a combination of the jewelry body and the charm-arrangement unit is a ring. 
     
     
         8 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 6 , wherein a combination of the jewelry body and the charm-arrangement unit is a bracelet. 
     
     
         9 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 6 , wherein a combination of the jewelry body and the charm-arrangement unit is an earring. 
     
     
         10 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 6 , wherein a combination of the jewelry body and the charm-arrangement unit is a necklace. 
     
     
         11 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 6 , wherein a combination of the jewelry body and the charm-arrangement unit is a bangle. 
     
     
         12 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 6 , wherein a combination of the jewelry body and the charm-arrangement unit is a cufflink. 
     
     
         13 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 6 , wherein a combination of the jewelry body and the charm-arrangement unit is a brooch. 
     
     
         14 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 1  comprising:
 the at least one charm-arrangement unit further comprising a stylizing element; and 
 the stylizing element being mounted onto the second body surface. 
 
     
     
         15 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 1 , wherein transversal cross sections of the charm body, the charm magnet, the receptacle base, and the receptacle magnet are a polygonal shape. 
     
     
         16 . The magnetic and customizable charm-jewelry system of  claim 1 , wherein transversal cross sections of the charm body, the charm magnet, the receptacle base, and the receptacle magnet are a circular shape.
