Construction component
Abstract
A construction beam assembly is configured to be supported, at least in part, by a prop-head assembly when the prop-head assembly is fixedly connected to a construction column configured to extend perpendicular relative to a ground surface. The construction beam assembly includes a beam including opposite end portions, a frame-engagement device, and opposite sidewalls. Each of the opposite end portions includes a first beam-reference portion configured to be selectively received, at least in part, by a first beam-locating feature of a locator plate of the prop-head assembly. A weight of the construction beam assembly is configured to be transferred, at least in part, to the opposite end portions of the construction beam assembly, and therefore at least in part to the prop-head assembly. The frame-engagement device extends, at least in part, across a top section of the beam.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A construction beam assembly configured to be supported, at least in part, by a prop-head assembly when the prop-head assembly is fixedly connected to a construction column configured to extend perpendicular relative to a ground surface, wherein the construction beam assembly is configured to be positioned perpendicular relative to the construction column such that the construction beam assembly is parallel with the ground surface, the construction beam assembly comprising:
a beam including opposite end portions, wherein each of the opposite end portions includes a first beam-reference portion configured to be selectively received, at least in part, by a first beam-locating feature of a locator plate of the prop-head assembly, and wherein a weight of the construction beam assembly is configured to be transferred, at least in part, to the opposite end portions of the construction beam assembly, and therefore at least in part to the prop-head assembly, the beam further including a frame-engagement device extending, at least in part, across a top section of the beam, and the beam further including opposite sidewalls.
2 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein the beam further defines one or more prop receivers along a bottom side of the beam, wherein the one or more prop receivers are configured to receive a portion of the prop-head assembly.
3 . The construction beam assembly of claim 2 , wherein at least one of the one or more prop receivers is configured to receive a first protrusion of the locator plate of the prop-head assembly.
4 . The construction beam assembly of claim 2 , wherein at least one of the one or more prop receivers is configured to receive a second protrusion of the locator plate of the prop-head assembly.
5 . The construction beam assembly of claim 2 , wherein a first prop receiver of the one or more prop receivers is configured to receive a first protrusion of the locator plate of the prop-head assembly, and
wherein a second prop receiver of the one or more prop receivers is configured to receive a second protrusion of the locator plate of the prop-head assembly.
6 . The construction beam assembly of claim 5 , wherein the second prop receiver of the one or more prop receivers is adjacent the first prop receiver of the one or more prop receivers.
7 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein the beam further defines one or more through-holes along a lateral length of the beam, wherein each of the one or more through-holes extends through the opposite sidewalls.
8 . The construction beam assembly of claim 7 , wherein each of the one or more through-holes is configured to receive a safety pin.
9 . The construction beam assembly of claim 8 , wherein, once received through a through-hole of the one or more through-holes, the safety pin is configured to engage with a portion of the prop-head assembly to selectively lock the beam with the portion of the prop-head assembly.
10 . The construction beam assembly of claim 9 , wherein the portion of the prop-head assembly is a claw.
11 . The construction beam assembly of claim 1 , wherein the beam further includes one or more flanges extending from each of the opposite side walls.
12 . The construction beam assembly of claim 11 , wherein the one or more flanges are separated by one or more gaps, wherein the one or more gaps are configured to prevent interference between the beam and the prop-head assembly.
13 . The construction beam assembly of claim 11 , wherein the one or more flanges of the beam are configured to permit stacking of the beam with a second beam, wherein the second beam includes one or more flanges.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
