Disc golf mini marker with performance-enhancing cues

Abstract

A disc golf mini marker disc integrates performance-enhancing cues to improve mental and physical shot execution. Compliant with PDGA standards, the disc features text or visual symbols (e.g., prompts for focus, technique, or relaxation) on one or both surfaces, providing immediate guidance during lie marking. Cues can be tailored to disc golf shots (e.g., putting, driving) and may be fixed or modular. Made of durable materials, the disc requires no electronics, ensuring seamless gameplay integration. The invention enhances performance by delivering disc golf-specific prompts at critical moments, distinguishing it from conventional markers.

1 . A disc golf mini marker disc, comprising: a body having at least one surface, configured to mark a player's lie in accordance with the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) standards as currently defined and as may be amended in the future; and at least one performance-enhancing cue physically integrated on the at least one surface, configured to prompt a disc golf-specific mental or physical action during shot execution. 
     
     
         2 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the performance-enhancing cue comprises text configured to prompt a disc golf-specific action or mindset, including focus, visualization, breathing, or shot technique. 
     
     
         3 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the performance-enhancing cue comprises a visual symbol configured to reinforce a disc golf-specific action or mindset. 
     
     
         4 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 3 , wherein the visual symbol includes an image, pattern, or icon associated with disc golf performance. 
     
     
         5 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the body is configured to comply with the size and shape requirements of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) standards as currently defined, including a maximum diameter of 15 centimeters and a thickness of no more than 3 centimeters as of August 2025, and as may be amended in the future. 
     
     
         6 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the body comprises a material suitable for disc golf use, including plastic, metal, wood, glass, foam, elastomer, or composite materials, as allowed by the PDGA. 
     
     
         7 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the performance-enhancing cue is applied via a method including printing, embossing, etching, molding/casting, carving, machining, mechanical attachment, adhesive application, or other application method, as per compliance with PDGA standards. 
     
     
         8 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the body comprises a first surface with a first set of performance-enhancing cues and a second surface with a second set of performance-enhancing cues, the first and second sets tailored to different disc golf shot types. 
     
     
         9 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , further comprising a modular configuration allowing interchangeability of performance-enhancing cues. 
     
     
         10 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the body includes a textured or non-slip feature on a surface to enhance stability. 
     
     
         11 . The disc golf mini marker disc of  claim 1 , wherein the performance-enhancing cue is informed by performance-enhancing principles or testing. 
     
     
         12 . A method for enhancing disc golf performance, comprising: providing a disc golf mini marker disc having at least one surface with a performance-enhancing cue; placing the disc on a playing surface to mark a player's lie, with the performance-enhancing cue visible; and
 prompting a disc golf-specific mental or physical action based on the performance-enhancing cue prior to executing a shot, without requiring electronic devices.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein the performance-enhancing cue comprises text or a visual symbol tailored to a disc golf shot type, including putting, driving, or approaching. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 12 , wherein the disc includes a first surface with putting-specific cues and a second surface with driving or approach-specific cues. 
     
     
         15 . A disc golf mini marker disc, comprising: a body configured to mark a player's lie in accordance with the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) standards as currently defined, including a maximum diameter of 15 centimeters and a maximum thickness of 3 centimeters as of August 2025, and as may be amended in the future; a plurality of performance-enhancing cues physically integrated on at least one surface, the cues including text or visual symbols configured to prompt disc golf-specific mental or physical actions; and a configuration allowing single-sided, double-sided, or modular cue arrangements.
