Abstract

A training weight for a cheerleading base trainer includes a weight shaped like an athletic shoe with a cutout from a front upper of the athletic shoe shape and includes fasteners adjacent the cutout, wherein the weight and the fasteners comprise a heel mass. The disclosure also includes a first forefoot weight shaped like the cutout with a first forefoot mass configured to be held in the cutout by the fasteners. A second forefoot weight, also shaped like the cutout has a second forefoot mass also configured to be held in the cutout by the fasteners. The heel mass and the first forefoot mass sum to half a mass of the trainer and the heel mass and the second forefoot mass sum to a full mass of the trainer to simulate a base throwing a flyer from one foot (full mass) or from two feet (full mass by two).

Claims

What is claimed is:

. A training weight for a trainer, the training weight comprising:
a weight shaped like an athletic shoe and comprising a cutout from a front upper of the athletic shoe shape and comprise fasteners adjacent the cutout, wherein the weight and the fasteners comprise a heel mass; a first forefoot weight shaped like the cutout and comprise a first forefoot mass configured to be held in the cutout by the fasteners; and a second forefoot weight shaped like the cutout and comprise a second forefoot mass configured to be held in the cutout by the fasteners, wherein the heel mass and the first forefoot mass sum to half a predetermined training mass and the heel mass and the second forefoot mass sum to a full predetermined training mass.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein the fasteners are magnets.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein the fasteners are reusable adhesives.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein the fasteners are hook and loop.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising a point finger groove in a heel portion of the weight.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising a pair of the weights and a pair of first forefoot weights, each one of the pair of weights having one of the pair of first forefoot weights held in a respective cutout.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising the first forefoot weight held in the cutout by the fasteners to comprise one of a pair of one shoe weights.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising the second forefoot weight held in the cutout by the fasteners to comprise a single two shoe weight.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein a total mass of the weight tapers from a heaviest heel end to a lightest forefoot end of the athletic shoe shape.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising the weight and the first forefoot weight configured to be received into an athletic shoe.

. The training weight of claim 10 , wherein the fastener is a laced upper of the athletic shoe.

. The training weight of claim 10 , further comprising another one of the weights and another one of the first forefoot weights received into another athletic shoe to comprise a pair of one weighted shoes.

. The training weight of claim 10 , further comprising a pair of the weights and a pair of the first forefoot weights configured to be received respectively into a pair of athletic shoes.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein the first forefoot mass is half the heel mass.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein the second forefoot mass is twice the first forefoot mass.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising a cutout plug configured to held in the cutout by the fasteners and have a null mass.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein the heel mass is proportional to 57 percent a body mass of the trainer.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising the second forefoot mass being 43 percent proportional to a body mass of the trainer.

. The training weight of claim 1 , further comprising the heel mass and twice the first forefoot mass together comprising the predetermined training mass and weighing 15 lbs and the heel mass and the second forefoot mass together weighing 30 lbs.

. The training weight of claim 1 , wherein the cutout is configured to receive two each first forefoot weights.
