Garment including stretch panels

Abstract

A garment comprising a first garment region comprising a first material comprising a lightweight material; a second garment region comprising a second material comprising a stretchable fabric; and a third garment region comprising a third material comprising a durable material that is more waterproof or water-resistant than the first and second materials.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A garment comprising:
 an upper garment comprising:
 a torso portion comprising:
 a front side comprising a first front side portion, a second front side portion, and a third front side portion; 
 a back side comprising a first back side portion, a second back side portion, and a third back side portion; 
 a left shoulder region extending between an upper left side edge of the first front side portion and an upper back region of the garment; and 
 a right shoulder region extending between an upper right side edge of the first front side portion and the upper back region of the garment; 
 
 a left arm portion attached to the left shoulder region, a left side edge of the first front side portion, and a left side edge of the second back side portion, wherein the left arm portion comprises a lower left arm portion, a first upper left arm portion, and a second upper left arm portion; and 
 a right arm portion attached to the right shoulder region, a right side edge of the first front side portion, and a right side edge of the third back side portion, wherein the right arm portion comprises a lower right arm portion, a first upper right arm portion, and a second upper right arm portion, 
 wherein the upper garment comprises: 
 a first garment region comprising the first front side portion, the first upper left arm portion, the lower left arm portion, the first upper right arm portion, and the lower right arm portion, wherein the first garment region comprises a first material comprising a lightweight material; 
 a second garment region comprising the first back side portion, the second front side portion, and the third front side portion, wherein the second garment region comprises a second material comprising a stretchable fabric; and 
 a third garment region comprising the second back side portion, the third back side portion, the left shoulder region, the right shoulder region, the second upper left arm portion, and the second upper right arm portion, wherein the third garment region comprises a third material comprising a durable material that is more waterproof or water-resistant than the first and second materials. 
   
     
     
         2 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first back side portion is configured to extend between the second and third back side portions. 
     
     
         3 . The garment of  claim 2 , wherein the second and third back side portions are spaced apart from each other along the upper back region of the garment. 
     
     
         4 . The garment of  claim 3 , wherein the first back side portion is configured to extend along a central portion of the upper back region of the garment. 
     
     
         5 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein an upper edge of the first back side portion is narrower than any other part of the first back side portion. 
     
     
         6 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the second garment region is configured to wrap around the torso region from the first back side portion to the second and third front side portions. 
     
     
         7 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the second front side portion and the third front side portion are configured to extend from an armpit region of the upper garment to a bottom hem region of the upper garment. 
     
     
         8 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first upper right arm portion and the second upper right arm portion are joined together along one or more seam lines extending diagonally between a right armpit region of the upper garment and an elbow region of the right arm portion of the upper garment. 
     
     
         9 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first upper left arm portion and the second upper left arm portion are joined together along one or more seam lines extending diagonally between a left armpit region of the upper garment and an elbow region of the left arm portion of the upper garment. 
     
     
         10 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the upper garment further comprises a collar portion comprising a first collar region, a second collar region that is separable from and/or releasably couplable to the first collar region, and a third collar region that is seamed to both the first and second collar regions, wherein the first and second collar regions comprise the first material, and wherein the third collar region comprises the third material. 
     
     
         11 . The garment of  claim 10 , wherein the first garment region comprises the first and second collar regions, and wherein the third garment region comprises the third collar region. 
     
     
         12 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the upper garment further comprises a hood portion comprising a first hood region, a second hood region, and a third hood region. 
     
     
         13 . The garment of  claim 12 , wherein the third hood region is configured to extend longitudinally between the first and second hood regions. 
     
     
         14 . The garment of  claim 12 , wherein the first and second hood regions comprise the third material, and wherein the third hood region comprises the second material. 
     
     
         15 . The garment of  claim 12 , wherein the second garment region further comprises the third hood region. 
     
     
         16 . The garment of  claim 12 , wherein the second garment region comprises one or more stretchable panels extending from an upper back region of the garment to an opening formed by the hood portion of the upper garment. 
     
     
         17 . The garment of  claim 16 , wherein the one or more stretchable panels comprise a left side that is joined to the first hood region along a first seam line and a right side that is joined to the second hood region along a second seam line. 
     
     
         18 . The garment of  claim 17 , wherein the first back side portion comprises a first side that is joined to the second back side portion along a third seam line and a second side that is joined to the third back side portion along a fourth seam line. 
     
     
         19 . The garment of  claim 18 , wherein the third seam line is aligned with the first seam line, and wherein the fourth seam line is aligned with the second seam line. 
     
     
         20 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the first and third materials comprise one or more woven fabrics, and wherein the second material comprises a knit element that is more stretchable than the one or more woven fabrics.
