Methods and components for a wall-mountable game system
Abstract
Disclosed is a wall-mountable game system comprising a plurality of game pieces and one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels wherein the receiving non-woven acoustic panels may be affixed to a vertical surface by an adhesive patch. The plurality of game pieces may be attached to the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels by a hook and loop fastening system. Embodiments of the wall-mountable game system include game pieces and receiving non-woven acoustic panels made of synthetic fibers with sound dampening characteristics, and/or fire retardant characteristics. Auxiliary non-woven acoustic panels may be included, which are affixable to the vertical surface and configured to at least partially surround the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels.
Claims

a plurality of game pieces, each game piece of the plurality of game pieces being affixed to a hook patch that comprises a plurality of hooks; and one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels, wherein each receiving non-woven acoustic panel of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels is formed from a material that defines loops configured to selectively engage with hooks of the plurality of hooks of the hook patch of each game piece of the plurality of game pieces, wherein each particular receiving non-woven acoustic panel of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels is associated with one or more adhesive patches configured to secure the particular receiving non-woven acoustic panel to a vertical structure.
2 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels comprises a plurality of receiving non-woven acoustic panels that are each individually adherable to the vertical structure to form a vertical game board.
3 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels comprise a sound absorption average (SAA) within a range of about 0.2 to about 0.5.
4 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels comprise a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) within a range of about 0.2 to about 0.5.
5 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels comprise a flame spread index (FSI) within a range of about 0 to about 25.
6 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels comprise a smoke-developed index (SDI) within a range of about 0 to about 450.
7 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the hook patch of each game piece of the plurality of game pieces comprises a greater area than each of the one or more adhesive patches.
8 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more adhesive patches comprise an area that is within a range of about 2% to about 6% of an area of each of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels.
9 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the hook patch of each game piece of the plurality of game pieces comprises an area that is within a range of about 5% to about 10% of an area of each game piece of the plurality of game pieces.
10 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels and the plurality of game pieces comprise synthetic fibers.
11 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein each game piece of the plurality of game pieces and each of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels is formed from polyethene terephthalate (PET) fibers, acrylic fiber, polyamide fiber or polyester fiber.
12 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein each game piece of the plurality of game pieces and each of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels comprises a density within a range of about 400 g/m 2 to about 2400 g/m 2 .
13 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , further comprising one or more auxiliary non-woven acoustic panels.
14 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 13 , wherein the one or more auxiliary non-woven acoustic panels are associated with one or more adhesive patches configured to secure the one or more auxiliary non-woven acoustic panel to the vertical structure.
15 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 13 , wherein the one or more auxiliary non-woven acoustic panels are different sizes relative to the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels.
16 . The wall-mountable game system of claim 1 , wherein at least some of the plurality of game pieces or at least some of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels are comprised of a mass weight of about 99% fiber and a mass weight of about 1% dye.
17 . A wall-mountable game system, comprising:
a plurality of game pieces, each game piece of the plurality of game pieces being affixed to a hook patch that comprises a plurality of hooks; and one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels, wherein each receiving non-woven acoustic panel of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels is formed from a material that defines loops configured to selectively engage with hooks of the plurality of hooks of the hook patch of each game piece of the plurality of game pieces, wherein each particular receiving non-woven acoustic panel of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels is associated with one or more adhesive patches configured to secure the particular receiving non-woven acoustic panel to a vertical structure, wherein:
the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels comprise a plurality of receiving non-woven acoustic panels that are each individually adherable to the vertical structure to form a vertical game board, and
each game piece of the plurality of game pieces and each of the one or more receiving non-woven acoustic panels is formed from polyethene terephthalate (PET) fibers.
18 . A game piece for a wall-mountable game system, the game piece comprising:
an outer panel defining an opening; a front face and a rear face; a game piece design that is inserted into the opening of the outer panel and retained therein via friction fit, wherein the game piece design extends from the front face to the rear face and is exposed on the front face and the rear face; and a hook patch affixed to the outer panel or the game piece design at the rear face of the game piece.
19 . The game piece of claim 18 , wherein the outer panel and the game piece design comprise non-woven acoustic panel material.
20 . The game piece of claim 19 , wherein the outer panel and the game piece design comprise different colors.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
