Abstract

A wearable heating garment configured as a scarf that provides targeted thermal comfort to the neck area during cold weather is disclosed. The garment comprises a flexible body made from thermally insulative, hypoallergenic fabric, foldable from a rectilinear to a triangular configuration to wrap securely around a user's neck. A plurality of heating pockets are integrated into the garment and are aligned with the posterior cervical region (i.e., posterior left and right neck areas). Each heating pocket is configured to receive and retain a removable heating element such as a chemical heat pack or air-activated heat pack, secured using a retention mechanism such as a hook-and-loop fastener, snap, button, or elastic slit. Each pocket is thermally conductive to direct heat toward the neck. The garment is machine-washable and available in various sizes and styles to accommodate user preference and comfort.

2 . The wearable heating garment of claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of integrated pockets having a retention mechanism selected from the group consisting of a stitched seam, a hook-and-loop fastener, a button, a snap, and an elastic slit.

3 . The wearable heating garment of claim 2 , wherein an outer surface of each of said plurality of integrated pockets is thermally conductive to provide heat toward the user's neck.

4 . The wearable heating garment of claim 3 , wherein said plurality of integrated pockets comprise three pockets positioned along a rear surface of said flexible body.

5 . The wearable heating garment of claim 4 , wherein said three pockets having a same size and shape.

6 . The wearable heating garment of claim 5 , wherein each of said plurality of integrated pockets having sewn side edges and a sewn bottom edge for retaining said heating element.

7 . The wearable heating garment of claim 6 , wherein said retention mechanism is disposed along an openable end of each of said plurality of integrated pockets for securing said heating element therein.

8 . The wearable heating garment of claim 7 , wherein at least one of said plurality of integrated pockets positioned to align with a posterior left cervical region of the user's neck and at least another of said plurality of integrated pockets positioned to align with a posterior right cervical region of the user's neck.

         9 . A wearable heating garment comprising:
a wearable heating garment having a flexible body and a plurality of integrated pockets; wherein said flexible body having a rectilinear shape foldable along a diagonal axis between two opposing corners to form a triangular configuration; wherein said wearable heating garment having a thermally insulative material; wherein said triangular configuration wearable around a neck of a user; wherein a central pocket positioned at a central vertex of a rear surface of said flexible body to align with a posterior cervical region of the user when said wearable heating garment is worn by the user; wherein said plurality of integrated pockets comprising at least one pocket positioned on opposing sides of said central pocket; wherein each of said plurality of integrated pockets is configured to selectively receive and retain a heating element; wherein said heating element selected from the group consisting of a chemical heating packet and an air-activated heating packet; and further wherein at least one of said plurality of integrated pockets positioned to align with a posterior left cervical region of the user's neck and at least another of said plurality of integrated pockets positioned to align with a posterior right cervical region of the user's neck.

10 . The wearable heating garment of claim 9 , wherein each of said plurality of integrated pockets having a retention mechanism selected from the group consisting of a stitched seam, a hook-and-loop fastener, a button, a snap, and an elastic slit.

11 . The wearable heating garment of claim 10 , wherein an outer surface of each of said plurality of integrated pockets is thermally conductive to provide heat toward the user's neck.

12 . The wearable heating garment of claim 11 , wherein said plurality of integrated pockets comprise three pockets positioned along a rear surface of said flexible body.
