Abstract

The air purifier includes: a body having an inlet formed on a circumferential surface thereof and an outlet formed on an upper surface thereof; and a booster connected to the body, and switching a flow direction of air which flows through the outlet. The booster includes a booster case in which an annular booster outlet is formed, a booster fan disposed inside the booster case, and sending air to the booster outlet, a plurality of lamps emitting light, and a transmission member through which the light emitted by the plurality of lamps passes. A discharge passage is formed inside the booster case, and the discharge passage sends the air flowing by the booster fan to the booster outlet. The transmission member receives the light emitted by the plurality of lamps and guides the light toward the discharge passage.

What is claimed is:

1 . An air purifier comprising:
a body having an inlet formed on an circumferential surface thereof and an outlet formed on an upper surface thereof; and a booster connected to the body, and switching a flow direction of air which flows through the outlet, wherein the booster includes a booster case including a booster outlet formed in an annular shape, a booster fan disposed inside the booster case, and sending air to the booster outlet, a printed circuit board disposed inside the booster case, a plurality of lamps disposed in a rear of the printed circuit board, and emitting light, and a transmission member through which the light emitted by the plurality of lamps passes, wherein a discharge passage is formed inside the booster case, and the discharge passage sends the air flowing by the booster fan to the booster outlet, and wherein the transmission member receives the light emitted by the plurality of lamps and guides the light toward the discharge passage.

2 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the discharge passage forms an annular passage.

3 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the transmission member is formed in a form of a ring disk, and an inner circumferential surface of the transmission member is disposed to face each of the plurality of lamps.

4 . The air purifier of claim 3 , wherein an outer peripheral end of the transmission member is disposed to face the discharge passage.

5 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the lamp is disposed on a rear surface of the printed circuit board,
wherein the lamp has a light emitting surface that emits light to the rear, and wherein the transmission member is bent for an inner circumferential surface to face the light emitting surface.

6 . The air purifier of claim 5 , wherein the transmission member has a groove recessed to an inner side of the transmission member on the inner circumferential surface facing the lamp.

7 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the lamp is disposed on a rear surface of the printed circuit board, and
wherein the lamp has a light emitting surface that emits light in a radially outward direction.

8 . The air purifier of claim 7 , wherein the transmission member has a ring-type plate shape, and
wherein the light emitting surface is disposed to face the inner circumferential surface of the transmission member.

9 . The air purifier of claim 7 , wherein the inner circumferential surface of the transmission member includes a curved surface area forming a smooth curved surface, and a bent surface area forming a bend, and
wherein the light emitting surface is disposed to face the bent surface area.

10 . The air purifier of claim 9 , wherein the bent surface area includes a first bent surface facing the light emitting surface, and second bent surfaces disposed at both sides of the first bent surface.

11 . The air purifier of claim 10 , wherein the first bent surface includes a plurality of first ridges in which the lamp is disposed, and a plurality of grooves disposed between the plurality of first ridges, and spaced apart from the lamp further than the first ridge.

12 . The air purifier of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of first grooves are disposed for the light generated by the light emitting surface to be incident.

13 . The air purifier of claim 11 , wherein the second bent surface includes a plurality of second ridges which protrude in a central direction of the transmission member, and a plurality of second grooves disposed between the plurality of second ridges, and spaced apart to the outer side in the radial direction further than the plurality of second ridges, respectively.

14 . The air purifier of claim 13 , wherein a distance between the first ridge and the first groove greater than a distance between the second ridge the second groove.

15 . The air purifier of claim 1 , wherein the booster case includes
a front body, and a circumference body disposed on a circumferential of the front body, wherein the front body includes a front wall, and a first inner guide wall extended to a rear on an outer peripheral end of the front wall, wherein the circumference body includes a second inner guide wall spaced apart from the first inner guide wall, and wherein the first inner guide wall and the second inner guide wall form the discharge passage.

16 . The air purifier of claim 15 , wherein the transmission member receives the light incident from the lamp and guides the light toward the second inner guide wall.

17 . The air purifier of claim 15 , wherein the transmission member is disposed in a rear of the first inner guide wall, and
wherein an outer circumferential surface of the transmission member is disposed inwardly spaced from the first inner guide wall.
