The spacer portion has a first and second distal end and a top spacer portion edge, a bottom spacer portion edge, a front spacer portion edge and a back spacer portion edge. The pair of spaced apart first and second arm extend downwardly from the bottom spacer portion edge and forwardly from front spacer portion edge of the respective first and second distal end of the spacer portion. The first and second arm each have a bottom arm edge, a front arm edge and a back arm edge.

Claims

a spacer portion having a first and second distal end and a top spacer portion edge, a bottom spacer portion edge, a front spacer portion edge and a back spacer portion edge; a pair of spaced apart first and second arm each extending downwardly from the bottom spacer portion edge and forwardly from the front spacer portion edge of the respective first and second distal end of the spacer portion, and the first and second arm each having a bottom arm edge, a front arm edge and a back arm edge.

2 . The deck board spacer of claim 1 wherein the bottom arm edge of each of the first and second arm is tapered.

3 . The deck board spacer of claim 1 wherein the front arm edge at the bottom arm edge of the first and second arm is curved.

4 . The deck board spacer of claim 1 wherein the deck joists have a width and the space between the first and second arm is larger than the width of the deck joists.

5 . The deck board spacer of claim 1 wherein the back arm edge of each of the first and second arm is aligned with the back spacer portion edge.

6 . The deck board space claim 1 wherein the first and second arm each extend backwardly from the back portion edge of the respective first second distal end of the spacer portion.

7 . The deck board spacer of claim 1 wherein each of the first and second arm further includes a protrusion extending inwardly.

8 . The deck board spacer of claim 7 wherein the protrusion is proximate to the bottom arm edge.
