Abstract

A pair of undergarments for concealing a medical device under a tight or form fitting garment such as a dress or skirt is provided. The pair of undergarments includes a pair of shorts having first and second legs and a pocket on one of the legs that extends from a front side of the garment to a rear side of the garment. The pocket defines a hollow interior and includes an access slot adjacent to a bottom edge of the pocket. The pocket further includes an access opening adjacent to a top edge of the pocket for passage of a tube. Various closure mechanisms are provided for opening and closing the access slot.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . Undergarments for use in storing a device, the undergarments comprising:
 a garment comprising a first leg and a second leg, wherein the first leg and the second leg comprise sections of fabric;   a first pocket positioned on the first leg, wherein the first pocket defines a hollow interior, and wherein the first pocket comprises a first access slot to the hollow interior, wherein the first pocket extends on an inner thigh portion of the first leg from a front side of the garment to a rear side of the garment; and   a second pocket positioned on a front of the second leg, the second pocket comprising a second access slot,   wherein the first pocket and the second pocket are positioned on the garment so that a wearer of the undergarments does not reposition an outerwear garment to access an item from the first pocket or the second pocket.   
     
     
         2 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the sections of fabric comprise shapewear four-way fabric. 
     
     
         3 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the first access slot or the second access slot comprises a zipper. 
     
     
         4 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the first pocket comprises a first pocket opening at a base of the first pocket, and wherein the second pocket comprises a second pocket opening at a base of the second pocket. 
     
     
         5 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the first access slot or the second access slot comprises an overlapping fabric closure. 
     
     
         6 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the first pocket or the second pocket is attached to an inner surface of the undergarments with an inner seam in contact with the wearer. 
     
     
         7 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the first pocket or second pocket is configured to receive and hold a medical device. 
     
     
         8 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the first pocket further comprises a top access opening at a top edge of the first pocket on a front side of the undergarments adjacent to a front edge of the first pocket. 
     
     
         9 . The undergarments of  claim 1 , wherein the second pocket further comprises a top access opening at a top edge of the second pocket on a front side of the undergarments adjacent to a front edge of the second pocket. 
     
     
         10 . The undergarments of  claim 9 , wherein the top access opening comprises at least one of: a seam gap, a buttonhole, or an edge seam. 
     
     
         11 . A method of designing undergarments for use in concealing a device, the undergarments comprising:
 assembling a garment having fabric for a first leg and a second leg;   attaching a first pocket on the first leg, wherein the first pocket defines a hollow interior, and wherein the first pocket comprises a first access slot to the hollow interior, wherein the first pocket extends on an inner thigh portion of the first leg from a front side of the garment to a rear side of the garment; and   attaching a second pocket on the second leg; wherein the second pocket on the second leg comprises an access slot, wherein the first pocket and the second pocket are positioned on the garment so that a wearer of the undergarments does not reposition an outerwear garment to access an item from the first pocket or the second pocket.   
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein attaching the first pocket includes attaching the first pocket to the first leg so that the access slot to the first pocket is adjacent to an edge seam of the first leg, and wherein the edge seam wraps around an inner thigh of a wearer of the garment. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first pocket allows tubing of an insulin pump to pass through an edge seam. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the second pocket comprises a second edge seam, and wherein the second edge seam allows tubing of an insulin pump to pass through the second edge seam. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein sizing of the undergarments includes extended sizing of at least one of:
 XXS,   XXXS,   XXL,   XXXL,   4XL, or   5XL.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the access slot comprises an invisible zipper, a zipper, a hook and eye, a hook and loop fastener, an overlapping fabric closure, or a snap button. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein assembling a garment includes sewing an invisible hem of the garment on an inner panel of the garment to attach the first pocket. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein assembling a garment includes sewing an invisible hem of the garment on an inner panel of the garment to attach the second pocket. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first pocket or the second pocket stores an emergency glucose supply, a medical device, a smartphone, a wallet, keys, a protective device, or a travel document. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the undergarments compress a silhouette of a wearer with a tight fit to a body part of the wearer.
